Hey Mason, I was going to ask you for a refund because of the discontinuation. But now you say you're continuing. That's great, it truly is. But even I don't know what may come in the future for sbp so I'm conflicted. I just don't want this to become something that I regrette paying 5 dollars for and I'm sure that many can and may definitely agree here. I'm also putting myself out there to assist you in any way that I can. voices, sounds etcetera. I can't code, but anything else I'll do and try my best at. I want to see this become huge my man, and I don't ever, want or wish to see this discontinued. Unfortunitly I do not have any current mac computer to even begin the process of converting my titles over, the closest thing i've got is an old ibook power pc and that struggles to run 10.5, nore do I have the money to order a mac.

So far i'm exparamenting with python as I ran into a bit of difficultys with c++, and figured I might as well see why python keeps getting braught up in developers room as an alternitive. I can say I do rather like the language and have ported my engine over to it. I've avoided mentioning this for 2 weaks, but this means cross platform support is a possibility. And seeing as i'm a former linux user myself i'm intrested in producing my titles for both the linux and windows platforms, if anyone else is intrested as well let me know.

As for the server, I took it down specificly because it was taking all my time and effert just to maintain it. If I did do another online installment and I have restarted plans on this, I don't intend for it to be purely roleplaying enforced. I was thinking along the lines of a mission baste system where you still had a story, but kept the open world feel, a bit like borderlands2.

Got a Sony str dn-1060 here. Just about all the settings are configurable through a web browser. You can get the IP from the settings on the amp, and then it's a basic HTML interface from there. I got through the initial setup using KNFB reader.

@sljNot to sound mean or anything, but buying GTA on the ps4 is a big waste of time unless you can get a save file or have sighted help. I got it on ps4 and was unable to do the first mission. You could probably do it, but once you need to drive, you wont be able to find anything. And, I am not sure if saves will work because the ps3/4 likes to lock savegames to users because I know on the ps3 saves wouldnt always work.

I would be very interested to hear of any fully accessible AV receivers people might find. I have an Onkyo TX-NR616 and a Sony STR-DN1030. The Onkyo will allow you to configure some very limited settings through its web interface. The Onkyo app is useful for some things, but has had some accessibility problems in the past. I have not tried to use the Remote3 app yet because I still need to do a firmware update on my receiver. I don’t use the Sony receiver much because it’s in my basement, but at the time I was using it, the apps were a little more accessible than the Onkyo apps. I think the app for the Sony receiver has since changed, and I have not yet tried it. I need at least a 5.1 receiver that will allow me to use my own speakers, preferably a 7.1 receiver because I prefer to bi-amp my front two speakers. I would love to find a receiver that is 100% accessible for all settings/menus through an app or web interface.

So, don't start acting like this is so completely different from UP, because it isn't.How many times did you say you were done with UP, and look at that. You say that you want to discontinue the game, and hear you are claiming your coming back to the project.I wish you were in a dev team so you could actually learn that it doesn't work like that.You don't just walk out and come back to the game whenever the hell you want. specially when its payed.

In 2.2, first destroy the lamp and pick up the key for entering community center. You have to visit all the rooms and collect everything. The second room has falling switches which will hurt you, so try to pass them as quickly as possible. At the end of room, there's a switch you must push with Enter to stop them falling. The last room requires you to master platforming, since there's a switch on the platform you must activate to be able to end the level, if I remember correctly.

@StirlockYou can still keep your console in instant on.  To perform a full reboot (more commonly known as a power cycle), just hold down the on button/surface until the console fully shuts down (youcan tell this via a distinct humming and whether it stops).  If Narrator doesn't restart on turning the console back on and the OS rebooting fully, you cansimply use the narrator shortcut itself to re-enable narrator again.

Anyway, I was able to win entire stage 6. The instructions for landing as well as radar speech were in english, I'm just unsure why the instructions for the keyboard shortcuts for manipulating skyracer were in japanese. I've checked for updates, but I'm using latest version and I forced language to english under preferences.

***The following post is wholely opinion that others may or may not disagree with***Windows 7 is a clunky, badly designed evolution of the OS.  Windows 10, on the other hand, has far fewer problems, far fewer crashes, and still runs the vast majority of programs 7 runs, along with having a better, more responsive narrator, the Xbox app and the windows store with better accessibility.My personal advice would be to ditch Windows 7 so that you can get used to 10 so that by the time you get KI, you will know your way around it.  Moreover, your settings, files and programs can all transfer over during the upgrade.

Hi,I honestly don't know what to think at this point. Seeing how the other game that was being developed by Ultrocity audio: (ultrapower, he said he was discontinuing the game like 30 times at least. Dude, this game was taking off so good, but again, that's your choice if you want to develop SBP or not. But like I said before, seeing how Ultrapower was being developed on and off, I really hope this doesn't happen to SBP. Hopefully SBU will actually last, and you don't throw that out the window. Hi againThe more I play this game, the more awsom it becomes  I've been having great fun hunting for a few items, and the discovery of the giftshop was amazing. I found an issue though that when you're tracking an item, and someone picks it up, you don't stop tracking it. A message saying: "The item was pickd up by someone else, stop tracking." would be very helpful and save some energy.Then, for some new items:- A paddle weal: a bike combined with a few paddles, to make using a boat speed up. If you want to go from the main land to the village, it takes quite some time. I have nothing against that, except that since there's a bike for walking, something should be there for roaing too. - A butcher's knife: combine two knives to get from captured fish to raw fish in one move, or from dead rabit to raw rabit in one move
 . Also would enable you to gut wolves and bears to eat them.- A way to sharpen axes and spears: currently you can only do this with a knife- A use for pen and paper to create, or the inclusion of, a map: this would at least give people an idea of what goes where, and combined with a compas would increase mobility. (survive without a map seems kinda odd, unless you couldn't find one in your hurry to escape)- A penalty for stealing someone elses food, or ruining a fire or so: "in your hurry to pick up some eatable speared fish, some items fell out of your bag. Why? Because it seems unfair to me that, while you're preparing say 10 speared fish, it's kinda hard to hear when one is ready to be picked up. And if there's one golden rule if you don't have much to begin with: it's all mine mine and mine alone. If later on you expand your inventory, you can start helping out, but in the beginning you need every single bith of wood or food y
 ou can get. Also, other people throwing mud on a fire you started, is to my mind, lame, and senceless too. it might have been because I dropped a courpse in the gasstation to have some fun, but hey no one got hurt by that, while doucing a fire is kinda painful when in need of food.Enough of my rambeling ...Time, to, survive, the, wild!

Awesome. I'm sure that this game will be so huge a success. It would be fantastic if it could be released on consoles as well, but I don't know what that would require. If you get enough money when the game is released, it would be fantastic if you could hyre someone to make full graphics, so it would be a game for both blind and sighted people. Orpheus one. Yes. The one true Orpheus. I'm glad to be sticking with XP in my virtual machine under OS X.You'll have to use SharpKeys. Fusion can't remap the caps lock due to the way the key is handled virtually. Either that or change the Dolphin modifier.

 ngst the transmittion racks.Sadly the station has got smaller than it used to be, as a lot of the radio stuff is somewhere else I can't get access to, and before there was a monitering centre with computers and a control room which I never recorded.There were also a few more rooms with stuff in them I never recorded at all.Now without the noisy analog tv units things are mostly fans now.However one of the things I did do when I was first there was being allowed to fiddle with an inactive black and white transmitter control board that was going to a museum.I never thought to get recordings of it and in fact back then 1996 I think it was, I didn't even have a good recorder unit or the thought I should record things.The modern sfx are best quietened down and combined with other sfx to make real sounds by themselves they are not much.

I understood all of it, and I can promise you that I can definitely fully understand the emotions of stress, saddness, anger etcetera. I deal with it loads and I have so many ways and things of getting passed those emotions. I know what game and software developers go through all the time, it is a stressfull process, especially if your team is verry few, or if you're a 1 person team doing it all. I sit and chill/chat with indeviduals on skype sometimes who's objective is to code the first starter draft of a game, and they have been doing it for the entire day, and they're only half done with the movement system. And it's 11:30 eastern time. And yes, they are stressed, angry, sad/upset, or maybe all 4 and then some by the verry end of the day. But that isn't the only 
 reason why they feel like that. Who knows what else is causing those bad emotions. But I liked your analogy of losing a loved one. Making the indevidual feel even worse at that point isn't the proper/good thing to do. That verry same analogy can be used for this situation as well. However, I can see where players who have purchased the online version would become alittle upset/frustrated. I'll admit, when I read that the game was discontinued, I did feel just that, frustrated and alittle upset some. but I read further and found out that Mason had stepped back and chilled some, then came to the decision that he was going to keep the project going. I do have to agree with the post about making it free, but for the moment. Yes, I would make this project free to play if you do intend to keep online gameplay running at the current time if possible, but then in the future once you know that things truly are going in a right solid good direction, you can make it payed if you wish
 , and only if you know for sure that this will stay around.Like stated in my previous post. Mason, I would hate to see this project go down. I know you got what it takes, the power, and the fantastic skills at your fingertips. Bare in mind all: SSD's are not meant to last forever.  The upside to these types of drives is faster access to data found on the drive; however, the drive does indeed have a life cycle which inevitably will end with no warning of its (for lack of better words) death.I bring this up because you could save money now and purchase a hybrid or even just an HDD.  If you aren't set on faster speeds of data retrieval, then I highly suggest you save your wallet and buy an HDD.  My opinion, of course.Best Regards,Luke

It's not so much ceased development as it's temporarily on hold.  I got a job a few months ago, and it's taking most of my time.  I'll still be working on it and AA as time permits, it's just going to progress much more slowly.  We've still got AA stuff booked up for the next couple of months before I can even think about going back to work on SA.

I'm only going to talk about the Modern Sound Effects, since, in my opinion, the only usable older one was the recorder handling.I'm still glad that you put this out here though Crashmaster, so thanks!I'm a bit worried that the hole ambiguous licensing thing may muddy the waters farther and come back to bite someone in the ass, via some overly concerned forumite some day, but, at least the modern SFX are pretty solid in that regard... In terms of the sounds them selves, I would give them 2.5 out of 5 stars, with 5 out of 5 being the newest libraries from the big names like Hollywood Edge, Blastwave FX, and Sound-ideas.I like the variety and uniqueness of these sounds, especially the battery fans and the linking room, and can see using them in a project pretty easily; plus, the stereo spread was nice too.That said, however, the recorder
  handling and occasional mic dropouts lessen the percentage of usable sound, and that means shorter, more noticeable loops.You also have to take into consideration that there are easily discernible voices in the backgrounds of some of these ambiance, and that can be a blessing or a curse depending on the use of the sound and the preference of the person using them.Even though these sounds could use cleanup and probably aren't readily usable in their current forms, I still appreciate having the original files to do with as I wish, and overall, I would say that the modern sound effects section of this library is certainly worth considering for room ambiance in a game or audio production, even if some work is needed to bring them to their full potential.And even though these sounds are quite specific as listed, it doesn't mean that you can't repurpose them into any number of things, from military super computers, to spaceship engine rooms and nav
 y cargo decks, or city power plant generators, high tech government command centers and secretive private research labs.Even though the selection is small, the nature of the tracks makes them widely adaptable  and, definitely worth having!

I've already stated again and again that this choice was not made lightly. I did not simpply one day say ok yeah, done, its down. Its a choice that i've actually been considering for 2 months before dmnb even shut down and whent to v2, and v2 was my attempt to try to make myself happyer with the concept. Their are several reasons why I discontinued the concept, some are obvious, while others i'd rather keep to myself. If I considered online games as a toy, I wouldn't have ritten v2 to try to not only make the server experience more stable, but I also wouldn't have resseled for 4 or 5 months with v1 trying to get the server under control after my attempt to fix lag. I'm sorry. But in this case, while I do respect my players, and do understand that people enjoyed dmnb, and while this may sound selfish, i've already made my choice. I can't turn back now and reclaim it, nore do I want too. I'm willing to go forward however and at somepoint,
  try the online concept again. But in order to do that? I do need you guys to understand that dmnb is gone and its not coming back. At least, not in that form. I'm not forbidding anyone to host their own servers, that is precycely why I released the client and server for a while to see weather I could open the game up to further development, but I am asking for a little space and respect, and that means not repeatedly asking why I dropt dmnb or asking me to bring it back. When i'm ready to try all of this again, I will do so.

In terms of the sounds them selves, I think I would give them 2.5 out of 5 stars, with 5 out of 5 being the newest libraries from the big names like Hollywood Edge, Blastwave FX, and Sound-ideas.I like the variety and uniqueness of these sounds, especially the battery fans and the linking room, and can see using them in a project pretty easily; plus, the stereo spread was nice too.That said, however
 , the recorder handling and occasional mic dropouts lessen the percentage of usable sound, and that means shorter, more noticeable loops.You also have to take into consideration that there are easily discernible voices in the backgrounds of some of these ambiance, and that can be a blessing or a curse depending on the use of the sound and the preference of the person using them.Even though these sounds could use cleanup and probably aren't readily usable in their current forms, I still appreciate having the original files to do with as I wish, and overall, I would say that the modern sound effects section of this library is certainly worth considering for room ambiance in a game or audio production, even if some work is needed to bring them to their full potential.And even though these sounds are quite specific as listed, it doesn't mean that you can't repurpose them into any number of things, from military super computers, to spaceship engine
  rooms and navy cargo decks, or city power plant generators, high tech government command centers and secretive private research labs.Even though the selection is small, the nature of the tracks makes them widely adaptable  and, definitely worth having!

Yukio, I found another bug.When using the super UFO weapon an exploit can be triggered by using the weapon, then pressing 1 or 2 to change to your subweapon.This will make the new weapon activate, but the game will still let you fly around as if you were still on the UFO.This is an exploit because while flying around in this glitch way, your stamina doesn't decrease; in fact it increases as if you were standing still.This effect will go away if you switch back to the super UFO and use it normally.Regarding updates to Carla, the T menu could be used to issue orders to Carla through Electron.For example, hold your position, move ahead of me, and so on.To the blasting gd, I to, wonder about the golden throwing knife.Later!

a type of game that I would love to see made accessible for the blind

Hello everyone. I wanted to get your take on a specific game type that isn't out there right now but one that I'm sure lots of you would love to see including me. I wish someone would create a sims like game, and I don't mean like sim city either but rather the sims games where you have to pick your sim or sims and guide their lives. I would love to see a game like this in audio form and was wondering what you guys all thought. No I'm not trying to make this myself because as you all know I can't code my way out of a home security system so I'm waiting for someone smarter than me to build this kind of game. Sneak, it's not Oriol's fault, and I'm not blaming him. I have nothing against his using this build of bgt. But since there are still some xp users out there including me, I think it's necessary to get Elias to work under xp. Btw, no offense to windows 7 and up users, but enjoy I guess you're fine with adware. Unless you've turned off windows update, windows 7 and up got the same spyware treatment embedded in windows10. Read up on it, it's true. Of course, it all happens behind the scenes, just like Microsoft wants it, but we know and we're spreading the word. That, is one of the reasons I don't use 7 at all and refuse to use it until Microsoft gets a kick in the ass with some lawsuits. But back on topic. Oriol doesn't need to do any modifying of the game to run under xp, all that needs to happen is that Philip, or Elias, needs to update their engine to addi n xp support.

Having stress is no excuse for treating your customers like crap, if that's the way it is, then say I'm sorry, but I can't continue, make it free, or able to run on other servers with a server side component. I understand server space costs money, and that trying to pay for it can be a struggle.I honestly don't get stress in developing a game, but then again, I can't code worth crap, so I can't honestly say I know what its like. I also don't understand depression since I've never suffered with it and refuse to allow something like that to take control over me. I'm not unsympathetic though, just saying peeps need to know their limits and back off when they feel they have reached them.
