some address space assigned to you that is large enough to be

Anyone got the skinny on this one. I have version 11.3(2)XA3 ROMs
running in my 2611 and was told my 16 Meg FLASH upgrade did not take
because I need to upgrade the ROMs.

There is no physical limitation to the number of neighbors in either
protocol. Cisco does recommend 50, but you can do 60 or higher. the limit

Honestly, I'm not sure if the ISA is available for the 7500 series or not,
but you shouldn't need it.
In the 7100 & 7200 series the ISA card is a hardware accelerator for IPSEC.
Without it, IPSEC is done in software.
You should be able to do IPSEC in the 7513 without the ISA, just no telling
how

What about router id's? Are they all unique? I set something up in the lab
once and mistakenly made the rid's of 2 routers the same, that caused some
weird stuff to happen.

If you're using physical interfaces and there are two spokes in the
network then two frame relay map statements on each router should fix
this problem. The issue is that RTRA can't ping the interface on RTRC
because it has no map for it. If you turn on debug ip packet you'll see

I have RTA and RTC as spoke routers connected to a FR router. I have RTB
connected as the hub. I have OSPF configed as a non-broadcast mode on all
three routers. They are all on the same subnet, 7.7.7.0/24
The routing table of RTB shows networks from RTA and RTC and I can ping
successful

homing to the Internet or connecting large disparate IGP networks. Any
IGP will give you fault tolerance, some are just more quick to converge.

I just remembered that I actually have an Intel router connected to a 7513
via a T1 that comes in on an MCT3 card, and the encapsulation is PPP. The
mtu is 1500 bytes, as opposed to the 2044 that is configured on yours. Just

I am trying to understand if there would ever be a need to advertise Router
IDs via OSPF. Is this something that is ever done in the real world.

When I was dealing with this situation before, if the PC was configured
to be a network client of the (i.e domain login, email etc.) I would
usually take care of its self. For the times that it would not, I made a
special .bat file that they would click once connected to map drives
using ye ol
I can't speak for the 3600's - the latest I have running on them is
12.1(5)T8 but I only have a couple doing NAT and they're configured with
static entries not multiple pools.
