I don't see much issues with that May be ARR did not like to mention his name. It's OK... He may have had some bad experience with IR. IR never gave due respect to his musicians. Thatstamil.com says that the new movie set to be directed by Gautam Menon is none other than Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam. (Which was supposed to be done by Suriya Asin before SOK). Though I agree to the point that he copies ARR style and a few of his compositions, we can't simply blame HJ. RHTDM failure was nothing to do with HJ. It was not presented properly to Hindi audience. Or they chose a wrong story to be remade. Minnale songs are awesome. No questions! I personally don't like HJ. I like Vidhyasagar Bhardhwaj songs than HJ. When Ghajini songs were released, I just wanted to hate it without even listening. I loved talking something bad about those songs. But at the end, HJ became the winner. 'Oru Maalai Ila Veyil', is one of my all time favorites. I don't want to comment about Hindi Ghajini. There might be various reasons behind choosing ARR. ARR did 'Kadhalukku Mariyadhai' Hindi version. It did sound good. And Tamil version had its own peculiarity. Many movies go flop in the BO. We can't blame MD for that. 12B, Lesa Lesa had good songs. But they did not well in the BO. As you all know, this is true in case of ARR too. We get frustrated when the movie fails inspite of having good music. Due to this, good songs go unnoticed. Recent eg. SOK. Kankalal Kaithu Sei En Swasa Katre Swades Bose Kannathil Muthamittal What happened in 80s 90s?. There were only 4 main singers. SPB, Yesudas, Chitra, Janaki. Arr changed everything after 'Roja'. Now there are so many singers. We get to hear different voices. Think about the amount of singers, players MDs (Ranjit Barot, Sridhar, Prakash, HJ, Rehana, ...) he has produced. That's what matters a lot. Being a sole winner, does do good for longer duration. So competition is good! BTW, I am happy to see ARR composing Ghajini coz we can get one more good album. If HJ had been chosen, he would have just dubbed Tamil songs to Hindi. I am not sure whether ARR applies any encryption to his contents. If not, he should consider using it. He can go for PGP software which is available for both Windows Mac OS X. You can create an encrypted virtual drive out of one file. Backing up the data also becomes very easy since that single file can just be copied to any external hard drive. With this, even if it's stolen by someone, the laptop becomes unusable. PGP is very reliable!. It's better if he also carries an external hard drive (PGP enabled) with him always. (Hand baggage). So it's just a matter of getting a new mac book. Last year or the previous, Dell's (Dell Founder) laptop was found missing. He was said to have had all the info about his company future products, etc... Think, how vulnerable it would have been, if he had not encrypted his data! *Whoever is using GMAIL as their only medium to store all important docs, emails, numbers:* In Dec 2006, 60 gmail accounts were accidentally deleted by Google. Son of caring parents (Manivannan and Vadivukkarasi), and the nephew of an ever helpful uncle (Vivek), Sivaji comes to India with the larger than life dream of running universities and hospital for the benefit of the poor. (The idea is smartly done when he talks of every riches coming to India, but beggary not going away). Sivaji has to however contend with Adi Kesavan (Suman), a slimy crocodile of a educationist and a hospital owner. He has vested interests in not allowing Sivaji to get on with his ambitious projects. Sivaji, however, has his heart set. Despite running into a non-cooperating administration (the red-tapism prevalent is exposed in an irony-filled humour), Sivaji soldiers on. He unwillingly greases the palm of venal babus and politicos to get sundry permission required to build the infrastructure. But Adi consistently turns out to be the spanner in the works and even goes to the extent of unseating the government to stop Sivaji in his tracks. In the meanwhile, Sivaji falls in love with a midlleclass Tamilazharasi (Shriya), who is the daughter of uncompromising parents (Raja and Uma Padmanabhan). Sivaji, with the aid of his uncle, goes out of the way to court the girl and her family. The scenes involving the two families are such a lark that they bring the theatre down in laughter. (Watch out for that riotous Deepavali scene when the families have some rollicking fun). Tamilazharasi, despite the fear engendered after a fortuneteller predicts calamity for Sivaji if she marries him, finally agrees to be his life partner (the scene at the railway tracks where she accepts as him as his lover is both romantic as well as very humorous). His light-hearted attempts to look fair are also very funny. But on the business front, the evil administration and wily Adi ensure that Sivaji loses all his wealth and all his dreams lie shattered as a dust heap. Sivaji has nothing left in life, and in a heady taunt Adi tosses an one rupee coin, in an effort to say that Sivaji is now a beggar. Sivaji is now a transformed lion, he vows to use the same one rupee coin as the 'investment' to take not just Adi, but all the money sharks. Rooting out black money is his broad and dramatic theme. Along with his uncle, Sivaji plays smart, but under the law tricks, to shatter the wits of the villainous group. The way Sivaji goes about is very gritty and provides the film with the right lift. The way he brings in all the black money, which he prises out of the evil hands, ingenious and inventive (it is through the hawala route).

The udit's version not as good. Although there is a tinge of titanic flute music to this song, and athiradi has elements of eminem, overall it came out well. The eagerly awaited Ranjinikanth-starrer Sivaji: The Boss is releasing on May 17 all over the world simultaneously. The date is officially confirmed. The film is directed by Shankar and produced by M. Saravanan and M.S. Guhan of AVM Productions. This is not a real list, just a wish list. For the past few days I've been listening to these songs and thinking how great it'll be, if these beautiful songs are added to Sivaji album. 1. 'Aarai kodi perkalil oruvan' from 'Ah Aah' (Intro song for Rajini) 2. 'Newyork Nagaram' from 'SOK' 3. Ore Kana En Nenjil - from 'Guru' (Ofcourse there will be a scene in Sivaji where rajini gets cheated by someone and goes thru' tough time. This song will suit well) / 'Theeyil Vizhuntha Thena' from GF 4. 'Ilamai' from 'God Father' All are beautiful songs surprisingly three are sung by ARR. Unfortunately they did not get much appreciation due to BO failure of these movies. Though 'God Father' did very well in BO, for unknown reasons, Sun Music did not telecast GF songs.

Moreover I don't think shankar will waste that fantastic guitar piece + ARR's 'Dheem dharathana...' (2:27). It's just amazing. When most of us (including the critics) feel that music has been one of the best standpoint of the movie, it's not fair to say that . That's your opinion. 'BGM is not good'. This is my opinion. Even if you ask me thousand times, I will tell the same. If you like it, you are free to watch that movie as many times as you wish. But you ask yourself. Please don't make everyone in the group angry ..so tell me which was better movie that was released recently that is comparable to Guru.. If I answer 'So and So' movie songs are good, people will immediately reply 'Then go ahead and watch his movies, don't come here.' If I say, 'Guru is not as good as Dil Se or whatever', 'Why people are always comparing with his previous movies? ARR music is getting matured everyday and he is trying out new things blah blah', people would react. This is just my opinion. I am not here to love each and every bit of his music. If it's good (according to me), I will be the first person to feel happy about the good work given by him. If it's not good (according to me), why should I lie and say 'It rocks... Good... and etc'?. I have all the rights in the world to say I did not like it. If you want to show your affection, show in some other way. Not by replying like 'Get out from here...' regardless of the veracity of the feedback. Even the murderer is usually given an option to defend his side. Because of the people like you, I believe, ARR does not get to hear proper feedback. If everything is good (according to you), why does music fail in a few movies like 'Mangal Pande'. The Gautham-Harris Jayaraj combination has given super music hits in `Minnale' and `Kaaka Kaaka,' so when Kamal joins the team, the expectations are also naturally high. Tech Gift from IT capital When A.R.Rahman ascends on the stage, crowds erupt in ecstasy, youngsters dance in delight and teenage voices chant his name in high decibel. As he performed in Bangalore for the first time ever recently, the scent wasn’t any different. But, apart from this usual genuflection, Rahman had something more personal and memorable to take back with him: a gift that represented Bangaloreans' collective love and affection. As the city eagerly awaited his arrival, Avinash Mudaliar and Gopal Srinivasan where working almost round-the-clock on a gift which Rahman would remember for the rest of his life: a montage with the thumbnail images of all his album covers that formed the contours of his face. When my friends, who are diehard Rahman fans like me, suggested the idea of a gift, I felt that it should be really special, Avinash says. When I suggested this, every one liked it. Almost from that minute, Avinash and his team of designers at his company '3xus' (three of us'), started to ponder over the technique. No one has tried out this in India. Except for a few rich Hollywood studios like Warner Brothers, none in the world has tried it either. The technology to make it, called PhotomosaicÒ, is expensive and so we have to develop software in-house to make the montage, Avinash says. Collecting the album cover of all 94 Rahman albums, which included his Hindi, Tamil and Telugu hits, turned out to be an even tougher task. Being his avid fans, Avinash and Gopal consulted all available sources. We gathered the hard copied and scanned them in our office. It tool almost 10 days to make this, but it was ready to be presented to him during the show, Avinasah says. Now, the fans have received the news that Rahman liked the montage so much and is planning to put it up in his new studio. We're delighted by the news. It's incredible to think that our creative tribute to his accomplishments has been acknowledged by him, Avinash says. You are just flying by the seat ofyour pants, I believe.I would not say they are too good. Just average. Only two songs are good, in K.Kadhali. First onewould have been very good,if he had not sung that song. Pudhupettai isgood (3rd, and 5th tracks),especially that violin piece which comes in 5th Track.I liked his work in Kanda Nal Mudhal. But I feel he is being repetitive in his music. You've got to consider his otheralbumsalso before coming to the conclusion (e.g. Das(2005), Agaram (2006), Sandaikozhi(2005)).They were just ordinary. He definitely has something different but only thing is, he's got to work very hard and need to try out different stuff even to be compared with ARR. Attaining that position would not just come with likes of Pudhupettai or 7G. That's my opinion. I strongly believe that its Vellai Pookal that did not receive appreciation that it deserves. Thats one of the best songs ARR has ever composed.
