Re: ARS 7.x: No unique index on Group ID?

2008-01-10 Thread Misi Mladoniczky
Hi,

In earlier versions you could even have two users with the same login name
but different passwords. I think to recall that this feature was removed
in one of the recent versions.

I typically put unique indexes on these fields too in the User and Group
forms.

 Michael,

I have wondered that aloud too.. Its always been that way..

Even the Login Name does not have a unique index on it in the user form...
At least they put a simple index on it.. If I remember right, version 6.x
didn't even have that simple index on it.. causing applications like
customer support crawl on user form searches if you had close to a million
 customers..

I asked support about it once and didn't get a good answer as to why an
index is missing on that form.. now it looks like they have an index on
 the
Login Name for version 7 but its not unique..

In my experience it doesn't hurt to put those indexes yourself. I've
 always
done it (both on the group and user form) with no negative effects - in
 fact
it helped one of my customers quite a bit on the performance side after
introducing those indexes as required.. Some parts of their system was
 virtually unusable before doing that..

 Cheers

 Joe

Re: Delete Records of Alert Events

2008-01-10 Thread Heider, Stephen
Tadeu,

I dealt with this very thing yesterday. Here is what I did, and it did not
affect the server.

Deleting all these entries from a Remedy client will take forever and may not
even complete. Use the TRUNCATE TABLE command (SQL Server) to instantly clear
out all entries for this form.

To do so, find out the table names that comprise the Remedy form. Run the
following command to get the schema number.

SELECT schemaId

FROM ARSchema

WHERE name = 'Alert Events'

On my system it is 6. Then run these three commands to clear out all entries
(substitute the number 6 for the number on your system).

TRUNCATE TABLE T6

TRUNCATE TABLE H6

TRUNCATE TABLE B6

Now that the form is clear add workflow to automatically maintain the form
size. Add a display-only radio button field to the form named something like
'Delete This Record'. Add a filter that runs on Modify when this field = 0.
The filter will use a Run Process with the command Application-Delete-Entry
$SCHEMA$ $1$ to delete the record.

Create an escalation that runs once a night which sets the value of 0 to the
'Delete This Record' field when 'Create Date' ($TIMESTAMP$ - (86400 * 21))
This will keep only that last 21 days of entries in this form.

Re: ARS 7.x: No unique index on Group ID?

2008-01-10 Thread Carey Matthew Black
Michael,

Actually I think there is at least one good reason for why ARS
supports (or maybe supported is a better phrase) this feature.

The idea is a group alias. ( Two Group form entries with the same
'Group ID' value but different 'Group Name' values.) This is a
designed feature from the old days. Ref: v4.0 admin_vol1.pdf pg
1-26: This is part of a table Table 1-3 Key Fields in Group Form:

Group ID

Integer ID that is the recognized identity of the group. For groups
that you create, the ID should be greater than 10. If you use the same
ID with multiple group names, you must keep the Group type the same
for each because you are creating aliases for the same group.

and a parallel v6.3 doc segment has this to say:

BasicGuide-63.pdf page 114

If you use the same ID with multiple group names, you must keep the
Group type the same for each because you are creating aliases
for the same group.
To make sure that you do not create duplicate Group IDs, use Remedy
Administrator to build a unique index on the Group ID field in the
Group form. (For more information, see Defining indexes on page
210.)

However at the lowest level these values are used for one of two
reasons: Access Controls or Notifications. And the point of the alias
has to do with the latter use not the former.

Over time it is possible (and likely) for your groups to be
organizationally merged. For example: Helpdesk HR(1) and
Helpdesk Technical(10005) might become Service Desk(10005). In the
case of Notification actions in workflow these values are held as
strings('Group Name', 'Login Name', hard coded Email Addresses or
lists of combinations of those things) in the object definitions.

So when groups merge into a new name (or into one existing name) you
need to maintain that 'Group Name' that still has notifications going
to it, or pick through your entire application and replace the old
value(s) with the new value(s). The alias values allow you to solve
this normal change with a data change in one ARS form. ( You can
change the group ID values to now be Helpdesk HR(10005) and Helpdesk
Technical(10005).) This would allow you to not have to change your
application and notification actions sent to Helpdesk HR would now
be routed to the 10005 'Group List' members instead. (Yes you likely
need to move all users in 1 into 10005 in the 'Group List' too. So
that 1 can be total abandoned.)

Keep in mind that if the 'Group ID' is used as an Access Control then
those references are NOT removed by changing data in the Group form.
So if you ever reuse that value later(1) then those places that
this Access Control is used will still be there and will spring back
into life as soon as that group is defined again in the Group Form.

Also if your application allows your users to type (manually) in a
value then that muscle memory of entering Helpdesk HR will also not
go away anytime soon. So you may want to support users still using
that value (for a period of time) to again, not break your existing
processes during changes like this. ( The group alias feature allows
for this.)

So... I think the point was to allow an easier transition under normal
and expected business org changes. However, there may be other good
reasons too.

Re: Delete Records of Alert Events

2008-01-10 Thread Heider, Stephen
Tadeu,

The form on my server had 500,000 records. However, with the TRUNCATE TABLE
command the RDBMS handles the deletions differently than a DELETE FROM command
(which is what the Remedy clients use).

The DELETE FROM command updates the Transaction Log so in the event of an error
it can Rollback the deletions. When you want to completely empty a table then
you certainly would not want to use the DELETE FROM. You could end up with a
7GB increase in the size of the Transaction Log and it would take forever
because, in your situation, it would need to re-write all 35 million records to
the log.

The TRUNCATE TABLE command wipes out every record in a table instantly and
discards all the data in one command. The Transaction Log is not updated which
is why it runs so quickly.

I have no reservations at all with running this command in a production
environment - so long as you get the table names correct :) However, this is
your environment not mine. If you are a little unsure of performing this
operation during regular hours (although it should not matter with this command
on this particular Remedy form) then you could clear out these entries
off-hours after performing a backup of the database.

Subject: Delete Records of Alert Events

Hello for all,

How can I clean up records from a table that growths abnormaly??

I'm facin' a serious problem with Alert Events table.

Since 2004 it's been growing without control... Nowadays, this table has around
7 GB...

I want to know if have a way that I can delete all records of this table with a
security mode (not crashing the server)...

Could it be with Escalations?

If Yes, how? With Application-Delete-Entry? Application-Query-Delete-Entry??

I thought in a way to delete records based in a range of date... Like taking
the date of First record saved in this table and going to deleting month by
month (in a range of a month/day)...

Is it possible??

Gimme your suggestions, please!

Thankx-in-advance...

Regards...

P.S.1: I have knowledge tha exists the Escalation CleanUpAlertEvents but I
think that this way will crash

Remedy Administrator Mid Tier Forms

2008-01-10 Thread Rahul Takle
Hi,

I have made changes to the user interface of a form in Remedy
Administrator.

Do I need to modify the .java or .jsp files on the mid tier to reflect
those changes or will the mid tier itself point to the same form in
Remedy Administrator and pick it up and will I be able to see the
modified form in the Mid Tier.

Please let me know.

Thanks

Re: Active Directory Users getting locked out

2008-01-10 Thread J.T. Shyman
Have you tried resetting the user's password to something simple (i.e all
lowercase and not symbols, if you're AD allows that) and then have them try
logging in to Remedy?

I'm wondering if something in the case of the password or perhaps in a
symbol could be causing this.

This may already have been mentioned, so forgive me if I'm being
redundant. The old 5.1.2 client (unpatched) did the same very thing
you're describing...but only if the user mistyped his/her password.
With this issue, if the user mistyped his password just *once*, boom,
his account was locked out.

I hope that BMC did not reintroduce this bug (or one that's similar)
when they released the newer client.

Gary,

Start on a clean slate like someone suggested, by either dropping all
the data in the object ref and object details forms..

Run the sync operation and check the contents of the
arxref.MMDD-hhmmAM/PM.log file (e.g. arxref.20071226-1116PM.log)
generated at the time you run the sync and it fails.. This file is
written to only after the operation is complete so do not bother looking
at it during the operation. This file may give you an idea of at what
point it failed and something to work on to find out the reason why it
failed... This file is auto generated in the Admin tool installation
directory. Everytime you run the sync operation, a new file is
generated..

Post this file to the list.. maybe someone on here may spot something..

Hope this helps..

Cheers

Joe

(((PS: Incidentally I've faced this problem too, found no obvious
cause.. I've faced even problems wherein the Sync process appears to
have completed successfully and even resets the admin run flag to 0, but
it has actually failed in between, with no errors written to the above
file.. I have a ticket open with Remedy Support regarding both these
problems on 2 different servers at 2 different client sites..)))

Hmmm.

Bad RAM: Maybe, maybe not. Depending on how the RAM is accessed it may
only
appear at certain times. You're probably right, though. Still, I'd
suggest
downloading a memory test software such as DocMemory
http://www.simmtester.com/page/products/doc/docinfo.asp (bypass the free
compulsory registration using www.bugmenot.com ) and run it overnight.
Never
know.

Bad .dll: As you said I'm thinking maybe a support .dll that isn't part
of
the AR Admin Tool install could be flaking out. Hard to find.

Do you and he have the same hardware? The reason I ask is I have seen
network card drivers cause crashes in applications on occasion.

When it crashes there is an error box that pops up. There should be a
more
information or something like that. Sometimes looking through that may
shed
some light on the issue. Also, check the event logs on his system for
the
previous crashes and see if they point to a file that can't be read or a
registry entry that can't be opened or something like that.

Sorry for the shotgun approach but chasing down transient errors is one
of
the more difficult tasks in IT

He has tried admin tool 6.3 base, and 6.3 patched to v 23. Both seem to
do it. He's tried different installs to make sure there aren't issues
with the install file. They are the standard install files from remedy,
and the same one s I'm using as well.

If it were bad RAM, I would expect to be getting memory errors random
other times. He and I have the same software, so that shouldn't be an
issue. It could be a bad .dll, but then a reinstall should permanently
fix that, right?

I'm thinking that you are on the right track, a bad file or something
somewhere. The issue might not be with remedy though, but with some
other files that are shared .dlls or something that remedy uses whenever
he tries to sync his search database.

Rahul,
What version of ARS are you using? If you are on ARS 6 or greater you shouldn't
have to touch any of the java files. If you want to see the changes you made
immediately then you need to log into the Mid-Tier admin page and clear the

Not trying to be flip, Tom, but read the install manual - and
  follow it TO
THE LETTER, assuming nothing. Most failed email installs and
  setups happen
because something was not done exactly as the book said it was

Re: Delete Records of Alert Events

2008-01-10 Thread Kendhammer, Mike
Tadeu,
You could schedule an Archive on the Server Event form and just delete records
without putting them into an Archive form.

Since you have a large number of records, you could do this in batches to
delete smaller chunks at a time and this also could be done after hours...

One thing I did is create a small application that uses server events to
track creation and changes in workflow. It still needs some polish and

Incident: Total Time Spent Report

2008-01-10 Thread Ivan Runions
I need a report that gives the Total Time Spent on a set of Incidents.
Before I reinvent the wheel here, I'm wondering if anyone else has
wandered down this path before me (I suspect this must be a fairly
common metric).

Because Incident 7.0 collects individual time records in the
HPD:Help Desk Assignment Log form, this appears to require a Crystal
Report on the Incident form with a sub-report on the HPD:Help Desk
Assignment Log form.

Any advice from those ahead of me on this path?

Re: Delete Records of Alert Events

2008-01-10 Thread Grooms, Frederick W
I think my 6.3 install had an escalation to delete the records. The Escalation
ran daily so the daily delete was small.

It had a Run-If something like:
('Create Date' = ($TIMESTAMP$ - (30 * 86400))) OR (( 'Create Date' =
($TIMESTAMP$ - (4 * 86400))) AND ( 'Read' = X))

It did something like:
Application-Delete-Entry $SCHEMA$ $Request ID$

So if the user has not read the alert within 30 days or of it has been 4 days
since they read the alert it would do a delete.

Your problem is just the initial cleanup and you could truncate the T, H, and B
tables for Alert Events as an intial cleanup. You might do an export of the
records that should remain and then import them back after the truncates are
done.

Fred

Or just wait until the Mid-Tier automatically re caches. (Depending on
Mid-Tier .../config/config.jsp settings.)

No Mid-tier(jsp/servelet/etc) file changes should be needed for any
ARS Admin tool change.

Well, I guess you could add a View Field that points at a URL that
requires you to create a file on your web server. However the View
field addition is not the part the requires the file change. Just the
need to have the file that it is pointed at. :) I hope that makes
sense.

One suggestion on the TRUNCATE TABLES, ensure that ARServer is SHUTDOWN
because of the possibility that it will be creating records in that
particular table while you are executing the sql commands.

You do not want to crash your server (possibly) or your user tool/alert tool
errors because of Missing H or B table records

We have used the Truncate Table many times without any issues, however, also
take a backup of your DB prior to execution.

Also use the four eyes (two people) to validate there are no typo's in the
table_number (the schema ID returned from ARSchema). You would hate to
truncate a wrong table...

 TRUNCATE TABLE T6

 TRUNCATE TABLE H6

 TRUNCATE TABLE B6

Now that the form is clear add workflow to automatically maintain the form
size. Add a display-only radio button field to the form named something
like 'Delete This Record'. Add a filter that runs on Modify when this
field = 0. The filter will use a Run Process with the command
 Application-Delete-Entry $SCHEMA$ $1$ to delete the record.

Re: How to Document Workflow?

2008-01-10 Thread Rick Cook
Brian, if you have an application of any size, even if a Word doc could hold
all of those cross references, you wouldn't be able to read it due to the
massive size. Sync Search DB is probably your best option for now, unless
ARInside works better for you. I am hopeful that the new admin tool will
allow for some new and creative options, but those would probably be just
for application subsets, due again to the volume of data therein.

If ARSPerl is ported to a version of ARS that you are using, you might
consider using ARSDoc - it worked pretty well back in the day. Apart from
that, I wonder if the DB tables produced by the SSD could be displayed in
some other way?

Re: DSO connection errors

2008-01-10 Thread Kaiser Norm E CIV USAF 96 CS/SCCE
What TCP/IP server port are you using on the source and destination
servers? Telnet typically uses port 23, which is not likely the port you
have set for your Remedy servers to use (and should not be). The point
is, just because you can Telnet to the target machine does not mean the
port Remedy wants to use is open at the firewall.

That's one thing to check.

CSV TO XLS via OLE

2008-01-10 Thread Mayfield, Andy L.
Has anyone out there ever tried to utilize OLE to convert .csv files to
.xls files? I've been trying to use the example on Gidd's website, but I
think I have something wrong.

I can get it to convert the .csv file to an .xls file, but it basically
seems to be putting all the data in a single cell with the data being
separated by a comma. I would have expected it to display the data as it
would have the original .csv file, with all the data separated into the
rows and columns.

Does anyone have any pointers for me on this?

I'm open to any suggestions. I just need to be able to have Remedy
generate a report and save it in the .xls format. I really don't care
about the field formatting or anything like that. Just has to be an .xls
file.

Thanks,

Remedy Performance Monitoring

2008-01-10 Thread Kathy Morris
Hi,

I was curious what other people are doing to measure performance. We are
having some performance issues. I know we can run Remedy logging (SQL, etc.).

Is there a tool that we can use to capture these performance issues. Also
do most people use a separate Reporting Server to run reports?

Re: CSV TO XLS via OLE

2008-01-10 Thread Fariss, Ron
Andy,

The following is the content of my dde.ini file for sending data to
Excel. Please note that the Path statement needs to point to your
Excel.exe file (not mine). My dde.ini file is located in: C:\Program
Files\AR System\Home. Yours may need to be placed in a different
directory. Almost every time we load a new client this location ends up
changing.

[Xfer-Excel-File]
Path=C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\EXCEL.EXE
Application=Excel
Topic=system
Format=TAB
XFRDATA=File
Command1=[OPEN(%f)]

Also, please note that any column that Excel determines to be Numerical
will lose all leading zeros (i.e. Request ID). There are several ways
to resolve this issue, but that would be a different post.

I hope this helps.

Remedy Link for SQL Server (EIE) Function Syntax

2008-01-10 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Quick question since the EIE admin guide isn't any help.

What's the syntax for using EIE functions in data mappings? I have the
Last Modified By field on SHARE:Contact mapped to a field in my
external vendor database and the column in my vendor database is
limited to 20 characters, so I want to use the LEFT() function to
truncate the value coming from Remedy.

I inserted the left function using the rules dialog on the
EIE:DataMapping form, which resulted in a mapping of

function|left(Last Modified By, 20)

However, EIE doesn't like this. Here's from the data exchange debug

Activating an AR System to Vendor Data Exchange (EIE Again) via Workflow

2008-01-10 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ARS 7.0.1 patch 6
Remedy Link for SQL Server 7.0.1 patch 5 (EIE service on another Win
2K3 box)
Windows 2003 SP2
SQL Server 2000 SP4 (separate hardware)

So in reading the EIE admin guide, it tells me that I can trigger an
AR System to Vendor data exchange by creating a new record in the
Application Pending form. Very cool, this is what I've been looking
for now that I've been able to upgrade Remedy Link for SQL Server to
7.0.1.

The guide tells me to create a record in the Application pending form
like this (quoting):

In the Other Short field, type the key or the AR System request ID
for the record that you want to include in the data exchange, or
invoke all records configured for a data exchange using one or more of
the parameters inTable 6-1.

So to test this, I created a new record in the Application Pending
form with -r 0213688|0213232 in the Other Short
field (quotes added for readability). I waited patiently for the
request to get picked up, and in watching the data exchange's debug
log, a bulk exchange was triggered instead of the single record I
thought I specified. So I stopped the EIE service and deleted this AP
record.

So to see what else might be needed, I used eiexfer.exe to create an
Application Pending record for the same request ID for the same data
exchange. The AP record that was created had a few more fields filled
out.

Category = EIE
Command = the name of the data exchange
Form = the instance name of the EIE service
Source ID = New
Tag = On Scheduled Interval
Other Short = same as above

When this request was picked up, it also activated a bulk data
exchange, so I stopped EIE and deleted this AP record.

Next (and this is all I've done so far), I manually created an AP
record with all of the data immediately above, but I added -s
exchange name (again, quotes for readability) to the Other Short
field, since the EIE admin guide specified that the -s option is
required for single records. This AP record also triggered a bulk
exchange.

I have submitted a ticket with BMC, but I usually get better answers
here anyway.

Thanks, everyone.

Re: Remedy Link for SQL Server (EIE) Function Syntax

2008-01-10 Thread Joe DeSouza
Mike,

Yes you are missing the $ signs..

I'd also like to warn you that the link to SQL keeps open SQL connections as
many times as the number of times you have the schedules run so do not be
surprised to find a number of open SQL connections used by EIE open in the SQL
process list...

As a workaround, recycle the EIE service that runs that EIE mapping to the
given SQL server.. Do this using a batch file and using net start service
name in a batch file thats scheduled to run just before the start of the
schedule, and net stop service name in another batch file that is scheduled
to run a while after you anticipate the schedule to have completed its run
time..

Cheers

Joe

Licensing Issues

2008-01-10 Thread McManus Michael A SSgt HQ 754 ELSG/DOMH
Hey all,
We're in the process of upgrading to 7.0 and implementing a server
group and I'm running into a few problems with licensing. I've been on and off
the phone with BMC licensing to no avail. We have two new servers that I was
going to set up as a server group and a third server that we're using as the
database. I grabbed a copy of the 5.1.2 database from our production server,
installed 5.1.2 server on one of the new server group servers and did a
restore. Got 5.1.2 up and running and then upgraded to a working version of
7.0 after some issues were resolved. Anyhow, long story short, both servers
now have 7.0, the database has been upgraded, and they're both sharing it. I
contacted support and was issued two new licenses, but when I try to apply them
via the admin tool, I get an [ARERR 466] Invalid or pre 6.0 AR Server license
file (In fact, I get the error when I select Add/Remove licenses from the
admin tool). Support has been unable to assist up to this point, so I figured
I'd try here and see if any of you had run into an issue like this before.

Any ideas?

Thanks much,

Bar Code font on Crystal Reports on Mid-Tier

2008-01-10 Thread Dwayne Martin
Hello everyone,

We have a Crystal Report in which the call Entry ID appears as a bar code.
(For those unfamiliar with bar codes, they are simply fonts in which characters
appear as a bunch of lines of various thicknesses, so this is basically a font
issue.)

We have the font and the Remedy WUT installed on the server, and if we run the
report from the WUT we do see the bar code. But from Mid-Tier we just see the
Entry ID in plain old numbers and letters.

What do we have to do to get Crystal Reports on the web to recognize bar code
(or any other) font?

(Mid Tier 7.1, no patch, on Win 2003 server, IIS 6 web server, Crystal XI)

What TCP/IP server port are you using on the source and destination
servers? Telnet typically uses port 23, which is not likely the port you
have set for your Remedy servers to use (and should not be). The point
is, just because you can Telnet to the target machine does not mean the
port Remedy wants to use is open at the firewall.

That's one thing to check.

Kathy,

Look into RRR|Log. Other ways involve measuring database performance and ar

this. If you are on unix there are similar, but better, tools.

You can disect the api log for this information, but it is painful.

Is there a tool that we can use to capture these performance issues. Also do
most people use a separate Reporting Server to run reports?

Re: Remedy Performance Monitoring

2008-01-10 Thread Jarl Grøneng
SQL logs does not always tell you the truth. Instead the API logs are
better, they can tell you how long an operation takes. RRRLogs is a
very good tools for examine perfromance, and it do show you the API
transaction time. (but also a lot of other nice stuff)

Example:
You create a record, the there is a lot of workflow trigger. Ie:
notify a group of users. The SQL logs can show you that no SQL command
takes longer than 0.010 seconds, but the API log shows that the create
record took 5 seconds. And it spend much of the time creating records
in AR System Email Messages form to notify all the users in the group.

 Hi,

I was curious what other people are doing to measure performance. We are
having some performance issues. I know we can run Remedy logging (SQL,
etc.). Is there a tool that we can use to capture these performance issues.
Also do most people use a separate Reporting Server to run reports?

PERFORM-ACTION-SAVE-ATTACHMENT

2008-01-10 Thread Jack Samson

All,

ARS 6.3 Patch 22
SQL Server 2000

I am trying save a file that is saved in an attachment field to the OS and am
having an issue. I have attempted to run the following command in a Filter Set
Fields:

PROCESS$ PERFORM-ACTION-SAVE-ATTACHMENT 536870921 D:\temp\File1.txt

536870921 (This is an attachment field)

(I am testing this in the User Tool which is on the same patch level as the
server)

The filter runs and does not error out and shows an exit code of Exit 0 in the
Filter Log. I have tried taking the file name out and have tried to do the
same thing using a Run Process without the $PROCESS$ and I still am not able to
save the attachment to the OS.

Has anyone had an issue with this? Maybe I am doing something wrong? Any help
would be appreciated.

Regards,

Jackson

Jack,

Is your goal to save the attachment on the server, or on the client machine?
If running this from within a filter or escalation, the file would be stored
in the specified path on the server.

Re: Licensing Issues

2008-01-10 Thread Julie Rockwood

Hi Michael,

There used to be a page on the support web site where you could
upload your 5.x license file and they would email you the upgraded
license file. I should think that now you could delete all the data
in your license file (after backing it up), then apply your new license keys.

Hey all,
We're in the process of upgrading to 7.0 and
implementing a server group and I'm running into a few problems
with licensing. I've been on and off the phone with BMC licensing
to no avail. We have two new servers that I was going to set up as
a server group and a third server that we're using as the
database. I grabbed a copy of the 5.1.2 database from our
production server, installed 5.1.2 server on one of the new server
group servers and did a restore. Got 5.1.2 up and running and then
upgraded to a working version of 7.0 after some issues were
resolved. Anyhow, long story short, both servers now have 7.0, the
database has been upgraded, and they're both sharing it. I
contacted support and was issued two new licenses, but when I try
to apply them via the admin tool, I get an [ARERR 466] Invalid or
pre 6.0 AR Server license file (In fact, I get the error when I
select Add/Remove licenses from the admin tool). Support has
been unable to assist up to this point, so I figured I'd try here
and see if any of you had run into an issue like this before.

Any ideas?

Thanks much,

Get multiple windows returned at once with Application-Bus-Time2-Get-Next-Window??

2008-01-10 Thread Rabi Tripathi
Hi all,
I'm trying to use this Business Time 2 command to get
next available window from a recurring available
segment defined in Business Time Segment.

Application-Bus-Time2-Get-Next-Window

This command works fine to return one available
window...
...but when I try to get all the windows returned at
once, by changing the 1 bit of the 4th parameter...
...as described in ARS 7.0 Config guide, page 402...

...I get nothing back.

Anybody seen this?

The syntax is below:
Application-Bus-Time2-Get-Next-Window
“StartTimeRange”
“EndTimeRange” [“Duration”] [“WindowFlag”]
[“BusinessTimeSegmentName1”
“BusinessTimeSegmentName2”… ]

My command is:
Application-Bus-Time2-Assoc-Get-Next-Window
1/10/2008 5/1/2008 7220 01
ID0014A51A4C9EomyGRw4FBxCAkmAA

returns this value fine:
1199941200

Then I change the 4th parameter, 01, to 11,
expecting semicolon separated values...

Application-Bus-Time2-Assoc-Get-Next-Window
1/10/2008 5/1/2008 7220 11
ID0014A51A4C9EomyGRw4FBxCAkmAA

Nothing comes back!

The only way I have been able to get all windows
returned at once as claimed is when the segment
referred to in the last parameter is an unavailable
recurring one. Never works with available recurring
one.

Ok, that was a mouthful, but that's the issue I have.
I hate to have to loop around and issue this command
each time to get all windows in the recurring range.
It might take 10 times as long for the code to go
thru. Why isn't it working as advertised? Any tips?
Known bug?

I'm using ARS 7.0.1. Wondering if 7.1 works any differently.
