As a small note once upon a time Lucas had a policy of demanding any and all star wars fan sites be taken down for infringing his copyright, regardless of the fact that they were effectively free publicity. Enforcement of copyright can be very hit and miss depending on who controls it, how much effort they're prepared and capable of putting into the enforcement, how much they care about any potential bad press and simply how much stuff they have to sift through to find content which they find an unacceptable breach of copyright.

Toughy.  That one I can't quite remember off the top of my head but I'll see what I can do.  There's a fissure to the south you're supposed to be going to instead of heading all the way east.  I don't precisely know where it's located, but I do know that once you go through it you'll find an undead garden, some zombies, some necromancers, wraith knights, and finally, Morticia herself.  It's a fairly crazy place in there, so if you find yourself struggling too much with it I would be more than happy to group with you to help out further.  Set a date and time and, provided it's not taken up by anything else, you have my word that I will be there to assist as much as I can if you like.  Beyond that, all I can say is that every single detail seems to count in muds, which is why paying very close attention makes all the difference between success and failure.  I know; it's not always easy because half 
 the time you're wondering just how much you're supposed to filter out, but you find out with time and patience that all that attention is worth it if you can muster it.  I remember not too long ago the orc encampment received some changes and I spent almost three hours trying to complete a quest I would normally have completed within 10 minutes before the changes occurred, all because I was missing the new bit that was added to it.  Assume at all times that you don't know anything of importance, that you need to learn at all times, that you won't always get it right, that it's ok to run when the chips are down, but that it's also just as ok to die trying if you feel up to it.Think of it like a military rescue operation.  You're rescuing a father or uncle or close relative or friend you know to be male.  You need to know where the building is in which they're keeping him, how many entrances there are to that bui
 lding, what is the weakest point of entry, how well it is guarded, what kind of attack you should expect and from who, how much ammunition and what kind of weaponry they possess, how long you actually have before they are given reenforcements, and if there are any other defense systems or procedures in place you should be aware of.  Sound like enough information?  Believe me, it isn't.  You still need to know weather male and female prisoners are kept in the same building or separate ones and at the very least, a rough layout of said building and its surroundings.  Is it a single or multi story building?  What kind of overall structure?  How many doors can you force open if necessary.  If females and males are kept in that one building do they at least separate them by different floors or different rooms?  Assuming the building or compound is quickly reinforced and establishing you've gone through the weakest point of entry, what is 
 the quickest and safest way out?  How long will the entire operation take and what kind of supplies will you need?  Who's going with you and what are their capabilities?  Who will be given what part of the operation and will they be ready for it physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically once they are confronted with the reality of the situation, the chances, the statistics of survival?  Do you see what I'm getting at?  there are times when you just never really know.  You weigh your options and pull the trigger, and that's about the long and short of it.Alter aeon is like that; perhaps not in the same sense, but every detail counts for something, even the ones that don't.  is that door there for decoration or does it actually lead to something?  is this an entrance/exit, or is it simply a description I can ignore?  What do these signs mean?  could this hill have any true significance?  Migh
 t these stairs double as something else and be hiding something else?  Can this item be moved or pushed aside or opened or taken and used on something else in this room or in some other location?And then there's the creatures and beings themselves.  do they respond to melee combat or are they impervious to it?  if they do respond to melee combat, what is the quickest way to deal with them?  Should I pierce them or slash and slice them, or even simply pound and smash and kick and punch them?  If they don't, do you use magical or elemental attacks?  is the room we're fighting going to cause an issue with the spells I'm casting?  Do they outrank me in some area like intelligence or wisdom?  What kind of damage can they cause me or anyone else in my group?Sound like a lot?  That's because it is, but that's part of what makes these games so interesting.  While you can certainly play

Hello thereThe path of light and fatehaven are both user contributed games, That is to say  hosted games, so for whatever strange policy of choiceofgames they don't get announced through the newsletter.I have actually tried a small demo of fatehaven and a very slight demo of path of light and here is what I think.Fatehaven is one of those games which has more of a story than a game, I.E few choices and many that don't seem to have much of an effect over what gets done, but I haven't given it a full play through so couldn't be a hundred percent sure. But ey, the first 2 heros titles were just the same, the first one more so than the second but people seem to like them well enough.path of light, well.. the less said about it the better. its a shoddy release imo, with spelling mistakes and such littered all over the place. Life of the mobsters came out at least a month or so ago,and I bought it as soon as it was released. There a

In fact that's why we ditched the 2d interface for project alpha because of the cumbersom interface and the really boring objectives. So if one is wishing to learn a language, it would probably be a good idea to install 3.3. I didn't know that you could run 2.7 programs in 3.3.I knew that 3.3 had a special 2.x interpreter that you could by running python -2 or something like that, but I don't remember trying to run my 2.x programs in 3.3.

@frastlin, you are wrong about things not working on 3.x when they're ran in python 2.x. However, this only works on python 3.3 and earlier versions of 3.x. Python versions 3.4 ant later finalize the new language syntax, and 2.x applications no longer work. The toughest thing I have to do is convert things from 2.x to 3.x. Mosty it involves changing print "text" to print ("text"), and raw_input() to input(), but other times I forget the differences with if and for. Also, although it works, it... well, it throws many tracebacks, some of which make absolutely no sense at all.

This is under the applications tab, I go over zst, tab to the field list, arrow over to performance and tab twice to get into the graph and use object nav. The info is exactly what that graph said.I'm using NVDA with the latest version of Anvir.I'm in the middle of creating an adventure game, so couldn't get to playing with the dll till later. I'm also not knowledgeable at all about how to use python with dlls, I just use the wrappers that have already been made...It would be a good inspiration for me to get around to learning how to deal with C++ though!Isn't adding walls and whatnot (that don't have any properties other than the hit sound) almost trivial? It is in python, but once you are cycling through three hundred or so objects every half-second, python starts to not love you anymore.

In my Cruelclaw fight on hard mode, I won with about 30% of my health remaining I think. I've won with 1HP left in the past though. Normally, if I don't get too excited, I can peg the first two or three spells without a mistake, and sometimes I get lucky with the six-note ones and get 'em on the first try. This time, I got three of those in a row, which is indeed quite rare.I'm pretty sure there are eighteen level-up herbs in the game now, or maybe it's seventeen. Either way, once Stella hits about level 40 in Infinite Matrix or level 60 in the ruins post-Pierre, you can basically make her level everyone else for you. I've also recently installed NVDA, and it's far far superior to Microsoft Anna. So much faster...the only issue is that sometimes if I'm moving and then get into a fight while still holding an arrow key, I won't actually hear what I'm fighting. This also happens going from room to room; it treats my arrow press
  as a key interrupt.slightspoilerpotentialI found something interesting, but silly me, I didn't capitalize on it.When you go and face Null Virus, you get some random text on the screen. For me, using Cecil, it was something like Unending Embodiment Mass Demon's Lunar Infinite. It makes me wonder if that's just for kicks, or if using the scrolls in that order does something specific.

Okay, I tried something, and it...sort of worked.I renamed the .zip file into an nvda-addon file, and it seemed to install. I can translate from Japanese to English, at least according to NVDA itself.As for which keys to use, or how to make it actually do the job, I don't know.So, at this point, I'd like it if someone familiar with Shadow Line's menus can sort of orient me, so I can get the game to send speech to the clipboard. Also, I want to turn music down a bit and sounds up, because I can hardly hear footsteps. If there are graphics on-screen, I want to disable them...stuff like that. The real thing will be getting Instant Translate firing on all cylinders, so the detection of the clipboard should be the main issue.Anyway, thanks in advance, and sorry for all the hassle.

@Jade,Myself with the levels I usually end up with I probably couldn't survive two shots from Rinzina's first form and still go on to win.I usually just fight anything that appears while I'm dungeon crawling but don't tipically go out of my way to do more, so that generally puts me around level 55 at that point. That's low enough to make Rinzina a respectable challenge but still high enough to be doable (it does help that Shawna's murder on demand is able to do 2 or 3 damage to her second form).As for hard mode, I didn't have much trouble until close to the end. There were a few boss battles for which I had to level one or two more times than I normally would. I did however have an unfair advantage because, I hope Aaron won't kill me for sharing this but I don't care so much if he does... in the beta versions you could find a lot more levelup erbs. There are now three (I think) available in the employee's lounge. 
 In beta, there were 15.All and all, there used to be over 25 in total, so I just buffed up one character like crazy near the end of the game and just blew away every boss from Jadon onward. You can't do that anymore, so in short I owe it another try.I did have trouble with the infected cruelclaw and had to be at like level 90 to do it.I just wondered about your success rate with final shots? If you heard my Stella battle I recorded for my playthrough yesterday, it wasn't all that great. I enjoy those fights but suck at them just the same.

Dark, I certainly see where you are coming from, and in principle I agree with you. Unfortunately, it all comes down to what the developer's objective is and how much that particular copyrighted material means to him/her.For example, back in 2004 when I started USA Games I had plans to start USA Games as a business. As such I had several plans and ways to advertise the games and expand outside of the Audio Games Forum and Audyssey List. For one thing I figured once I got a couple of good accessible games developed I could go to the NFB, AFB, ACB, or RNIB and try and get them to sponsor my games with their customers. I could contact large resellers of accessible products like In dependant Living Aids and see if they would carry my games in their inventory. Those are definitely good ideas for building up a potential customer base, but that would all assume I had soul control over the copyrights and trademarks.If I write a Star Wars game, for instance, and then try 
 to sell it I am likely to end up in all kinds of legal problems. The more I publicize and advertise the game the more likely Lucas or someone is likely to find out about it and could begin legal proceedings against me or USA Games. If I sell it that would be all the more reason to take me to court and for them to get reparations in lost sales since under the law anything I make off the games technically belongs to the copyright holder. So obviously going the commercial route could be ultimately self-destructive.So as I see it the best way to handle it would be to release the game as freeware or open source, under a fan fiction type license, which would probably forestall any legal proceedings. At most all Lucas would do is ask the court for a cease and desist order, and the game would have to be taken down and destroyed. That would also mean that advertising would not be beneficial to the project and it would be better to just advertise via Audyssey, the Audio Games Forum, an
 d like places and hope Lucas doesn't hear about it. No sense in dragging NFB, RNIB, ACB, AFB, etc into the mess as they probably won't want any  part of a legal hot potato such as that.So the choice is this. If a game developer is interested in developing something for profit, getting a lot of press, and exposure then it is safer to develop something he or she has the full rights to. On the other hand if publicity and money aren't an issue, he or she truly wants a copyrighted work that isn't accessible, then he or she can do so as long as they keep it under the radar of the copyright holder. Make sense?I'm inclined to agree with you to a certain point that copyright law has gotten out of hand, and in cases such as this I don't want to respect it. At the same time I fully realize that sometimes if a developer wants to have a successful business then one has to play by the rules. Even if those rules sometimes suck.Besides, all of
  your points are forgetting the fact those same laws that protect the fat cat corporations also protect the small indie developers as well. What I mean by that is that if an indie developer like USA Games comes up with a really revolutionary game series Draconis, GMA, etc can't legally rip it off and start making money off USA Games' ideas, nor could USA Games steel their game ideas. This is more like what the law was created for, and to keep competition going between competitors. The idea was to drive the market by introducing alternative ways of doing things, by creating and marketing separate innovative products, without steeling the other guy's ideas and intellectual property.Seen from that perspective I am okay with copyrights. If I were the owner and creator of Star Wars I wouldn't exactly want someone taking my characters, ideas, etc and making lots of money off it either. Although, I am sure I would be more generous than someone like George Lucas a
 bout it I can empathize with the principle it is his dream, his ideas, and people should have to pay him to use his ideas the same if they were my ideas.

You know,Most people in the audiogames scene are pretty good in getting away with it, just because it really never leaves the community. This is a fact that we simply will have to face, as there are very few sighted gamers who will actually try out this kind of gaming. Maybe once, or twice, but as long as they have games that they can stick to that uses most of their senses, who would blame them for not going with those? Especially if they're produced by companies with huge budgets, so they can get licensed, and have generally better "quality" (Notice the quotes!) than the games that we'd be able to make in our spare time, as that's what most people tend to do.Anyway, going back on track, Copyright law is one of the more complex ones. And while I myself have not much looked into it, I would not be surprised if it varied on states/countries. So I agree with Dark. As long as you don't make any profit off of it, I don't see why you sho
 uld really bother. Just do it.If you're planning to sell your stuff though, you might want to take a read. And also figure out if you can simply sell a lot of stuff without licensing yourself as an individual who is able to do so allowed by the state. Not that they'd find out, unlikely, but should your game suddenly take off, not only might you be in for lawsuit trouble that you didn't know because you took sounds you randomly found on the web, but also because you could pay the state money for what you do, at least a good part of it, and they didn't know. So, you need to fix that by doing it afterwards. At least, that's what I understand.Partly why I wouldn't feel comfortable selling my software. But if people have the option to not pay any money, they won't, and especially not if it's a donate button. And the most used excuse here is "I'm broke". LOL

There are probably mathematical formulas involved, and I don't know exactly how attack, impact or even defense figure in, but yes...generally speaking, a scroll with a lower base power will do less damage.Cruelclaw is not as ugly as it sounds. Destruction of the Heavens (obtained at level 50) is very easy for its power however.Trajectory: I'e survived the boss fight with Renzina after being hit twice in the first form (one scroll doesn't quite kill her), but no more than that.And, as far as my hard playthrough goes, I'm now in the postgame. Cecil is rocking everything he sees. Stella is nearly level 100...and my god but is she ever amazing for racking up coins from monsters that give over 5000exp each. Anyway, the protector, DJ Rocky and Necro Dream Jeffrey are all beaten. I wailed Rocky fast again with Stella, the protector died in seven hits from Simon, and I even managed to get hit by both poison and the lightning stun from Jason and surv
 ived. Not by much, but I did. It does help that Embodiment of Power from Cecil was doing like 11-12% of Jeffrey's health in the second half of that fight.So, with that said, I'm gonna have to go aahed and say that hard mode really isn't much different than normal mode. I think maybe Cruelclaw was a touch harder, but not by loads and loads. I beat Pierre around level 70 without having to withdraw anyone, though he did ask me to hit him with Final Oblivion two or three times in a row when he was weak, which helps. Haha.

Hi,I'm not entirely sure. I'm sorry if you mentioned this before, but do you use NVDA? It seemed to, with object nav, read for me just fine.They're not too terribly hard to make, really. Yes, I asked Aprone about the maths back then, but I've done some google research and logical thinking and came up with some ideas that made it even easier for me. Which means that yes, I can definitely put out a DLL that can do the math for you, or even a little sound engine that does the work for you.I'm not interested in paying to get this project done. It's really not all that complicated, at least, if you keep it in 2D, which is mostly enough for an audio FPS game. Most of them are.Yeah RTR never really came a long way. But then again, it was my very first FPS project, and I didn't know a whole lot about it at the time, which has changed since then. It probably would not even take me long to develop a simple server to run the game on. But before I do that, I'd rather come up with a more suffisticated way of creating a map. Like...An actual map. Not just a square with borders around it. LOL

The reason why you don't see so many first person games is because they are so difficult to make.I don't think you can do them in BGT and at the moment you can't do them in pygame without doing some fun math!Where as side scrollers are just x and maybe some y coords and that is it.Why python is so that you don't need to worry about screen reader support, networking, writing massive guides saying how things work and whatnot. It is pretty much all written for you.My brother uses an engine that does this and he is able to make some pretty awesome games (Just not for blindies!)I can't wait till libaudioverse comes out, it will be much nicer than OpenAl! (Although it is going to be payed for commercial use (Although you would need to talk to Camlen about it!)).The hard stuff is:collision detection and positioning audio objects. For me those are the two things that are a huge pain in python.How does this engine han
 dle those? Could you start with putting out a dll or something that we can import into our projects?And hey, what is the one thing Swamp does not have? PK  how difficult would it be to add that? RTR almost got there, but there was really no point to it other than that...

@Chris,Kelly might not be your best bet against a hard hitter like that.Shawna or Cecil could probably do it better, Maybe Ross if he's at a high enough level. You need someone who can take her first form out in one turn.Yes she does get that hit in before she transforms, probably because she's not actually defeated. It's important to beat that first form in one shot because she'll badly damage any character.

Okay, a quick and dirty guide to this boss:Step 1. Don't use Kelly. Her defense is too low. Even Cecil would probably be better, even though his defense isn't as good as Shawna or Simon. If you have Eternal Vortex from Simon at level 60, use that and prosper because Simon's got the tanking power to survive.2. The boss gets an attack even at 0 percent (as in, she attacks you and then changes forms). Just get used to it.3. Do not under any circumstances come into the fight with less than full health.4. You absolutely must kill the boss in one or two hits in her first form. The longer she's alive, the more she wails on you.

I have been using Skype for the better part of 4 years. Believe it or not, GWConnect was the first Blindy client I used, before actually fully switching to the native Skype app.  And, I can confidently say, Skype is far superior to GW. So to all complainers, winers, and scared people who absolutely don't want to use the regular Skype app, or m.facebook.com, then, I have some news for you. Don't use those services anymore.

Again if Facebook were not accessible, and required a client that would be a different story. These are official clients supported so they probably won't be going anywhere. I don't know why they dropped Skype Kit. Maybe because it wasn't being used enough or maybe because they want ev

People will just have to learn the real interfaces to these services, that everyone else has to use and that can be used by everyone just fine or find another alternative client that you like.

SPOILERSIf you ever take a wrong teleporter anywhere in that area it'll just send you back to the stairs. From the stairs, first take the only teleporter, then in the new area work your way to the upper right corner and take the teleporter there, then finally take the teleporter in the lower right corner. Save your game, don't take the teleporter in that room but instead go down to fight the boss.

Why they charge so much money for the products is unknown to me. My issue is that people are talking like they have some ruling over GW Micro and come off a bit entitled. Again if Facebook were not accessible, and required a client that would be a different story. As it is now though, facebook is completely accessible, so GW Social eyes has to be looked at as just another company trying to make mone. It's certainly true that what they're asking is quite high being that it is a recurring payment but there's nothing that can be done about that. People will just have to use the already accessible facebook site, or a different client.Back to the SKype thing. Microsoft again gave huge warning taht the Skype Kit was about to be stopped. Probably about a year. There were dates when it was supposed to stop but it never did. People decided to ignore these warnings, and microsoft did finally pull the plug. This isn't the fault of GW Connect. Personally the only th
 ing I'd say they were at faul t for was charging for gw connect even after the first warning was issued. Sure there were other clients that used it, and the supporters of thsoe clients are probably going through the conversation right now.

I am using Kelly.She is at level 67.I don't know how this boss is possible to defeat if she takes off more than half of my health with 2 hits and doesn't die until she hits me for the second time.I don't know if getting more health would help, since she would probably take off even more health in her first form.

Hmmm.Originally, I didn't even think of a WYSIWYG type of scripting, if scripting at all for this engine, since I thought I was the only one who would use it and use it as a template. However, now that you mention it, maybe I would look into actually doing that.I have a working LUA script interpretor setup from Dragonflame so I really don't know if I would look into Python since I'm s used to Lua...Ideas, ideas... Meanwhile, just to figure out how easy it is, added 2 new zombie types, including a more human one, and a dog kind of thing. Maybe this is starting to look like a swamp rip-off. LOLOh. And H to check your health. Yes, I know it spells the numbers out. I can't be bothered! LOLI don't check this forum very much anymore so I'm not entirely sure what's happening in the scene of audio games, but I keep seeing side scrollers and RPG's pop up and no one's even trying themselves at first-person g
 ames which is a little sad. I love that kind of genre.Maybe by releasing this engine I could make it easier for people. But it's a mess at the moment. I'm currently cleaning it up and switching to a more game-suited audio engine. OpenAL. Maybe I can get environmental effects and easier HRTF out of it...

Hi Cx2.Well if you have mk9 for the x-box I wouldn't bother getting it for the pc. All ports of the game have the story mode or at least I'm pretty sure they do. I can't remember who it was but I remember that somebody on this forum got the komplete edition and mentioned that it lagged most of the time making it impossible to play.And just for those of you who don't know mk 2011 is the retelling of the story of the first 3 games mk, mk2, and mk3 the story starts in the present and then flashes back to the past. If you want to watch the story instead of buying the game there is a complete playthrough on youtube just type mortal kombat 9 into the search box. Remember to type it exactly like that to get the correct video it should be the first video in the search results.Hth.

Hmmm. THe mirror boss wasn't very hard when I fought it.Do you have full health when you go in?I believe the mirror boss is actually slightly weaker than you are.Try using infinite pulse to fight it.I'm not sure how to help further since I didn't find that boss too tricky.

With all due respect I have to disagree.I don't know who used Skype Kit apart from GW Micro.But I think that it was not just one Company...Everyone who used it got cut off, and it was probably more than GW Micro.I really don't know if Window Eyes is a bad Piece of Software so that GW Micro has to sell other things because Window Eyes would be not selling enough for the Company.However there is a difference between a product which you buy and a Service you pay a regular subscription fee to use it.Usually a Screen Reader and/or most programs designed to provide an alternative blind friendly user Interface to web Services might require resources to create it.Usually this means selling said product.This is all ok so Long as any Company doesn't Charge more than is needed.But since the developers of Facebook or Youtube don't prevent third Party developers including their Services into new programs, it must mean t

Just to make sure, Is Anvir?I am trying to figure out what processes take up the least amount of CPU now I'm on a SSD and don't get the fan blowing every time my computer uses more than 1/3 CPU LOL...Have you been reading the development forum? We were just talking about how there is a major lackage of wysiwyg editors for the blind. How hard would it be to make this into a wysiwyg editor? If you already have the xbox version I wouldn't get it. Either that or wait for it to get even cheeper (it does happen quite often). The controls, to me at least feel more sluggish, it's slight but noticeable and that's on a system with good specs. The other reason the PC port is inferior is the horrible audio. All the sounds are there and sound good, it's just that the panning is horribly jumpy. The story mode cut scenes are also really badly compressed. The visuals look all right, but the audio sounds like very low bitrate MP3, something like 32KBps... so very painful.The only reason I would even think about getting it is if you have friends that only have the PC version that you want to go multiplayer with. Otherwise save your money and get another game, maybe injustice because it's a better PC port though the story mode is mono, or MK X whenever that comes out.

Hi.Ok, so after stumbling around and cursing the fact that this game needs a better navigation system, I found the remaining keys.Now, I'm trying to fight this Renza boss thing but she hits me really hard at first for 800 or so damage.Then she transforms and my scrolls do 1 damage.Then, she transforms again and hits for 100 damage which at that point kills me.Any tips on destroying this?As for the suggestions in the previous posts, I agree, those would be pretty cool things to add if Aron would listen to user feedback.I'm sorry if this and my previous posts were a little harsh, but I think some things should be changed.I really like the concept of this game, I really do.I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't like it.I just think some things should be changed.

Hi.Oh yes I love family guy though I think simpsons is better. One of my favorite characters on the show is herbert he is the weirdest creepiest characters on there. I've always wondered what would happen is peter or lois ever caught on to herbert flirting with chris since he's so obvious about it. If nothing else, get back to the main door, find the nearest wall and follow it all the way around. As I've said at least twice before now, this method simply will not fail. It takes awhile, but it doesn't fail. It has worked for me in literally every area of the game except one, and that specific area has a simple trick to it (you aren't there yet).And, I just had a neat thought.What if, instead of "press the button when you hear the beep" sort of scrolls, we had glyphs? Say each glyph corresponded to an arrow key (but give it a name or something), and then to use a scroll you had to tap the glyphs in the right order? For instance, let's say Aura Master for Ross would entail hitting right, right, down. ug, this is extremely annoying! It seems like I'm wandering in circles and all I find are dead ends and a weird little passage that goes down then left then down and left and eventually ends in a dead end.How many exits are there from the main door?I'm extremely confused and don't know where I've been and where I havn't.This is why I think we need better navigational aids than wall tones.The wall tones are fine for finding openings and stuff, but I think we need place markers or something.

Hi.Well there is a loophole if you create a star wars, star trek, or simpsons game and use sounds from companies if you release it as an open source project you can call it fanfiction and if a company threatens to sue  you you can just tell them, "Go to hell it's free fanfiction." Jim kitchen could be sued but I believe that as long as fox and others don't find out it's okay. If somebody did sue him it would definitly be a public relations nightmare. I can see the headline now, "Man is sued by fox for stealing copyrighted simpsons material but only as freeware." That would be helarious I don't think fox or any other company would ever be able to get over something like that. I'm tempted to make a copyrighted game just so I can yell at one of those stuffy corporate assholes lol. That would be aweful if we couldn't play homer on a harley or the awesome homer or the nfl and baseball games. I wish more audiogames had s
 impsons characters in them. I wouldn't mind creating an x-files game since that was a classic show. I could call it x-files: fox's doom lmao.

There's a huge topic in the New Releases area about this game, where many hints are requested and given. But here's a slightSpoilerIn that particular area of the game, if you find yourself near a save point, but with no stairs in sight, If I remember correctly, you're on the right track. Save your game if desired, then fight the big boss battle. Do not take the teleporter in that area until you've defeated the boss, as it will take you out of the palace entirely, and back to the pub! Very useful when you're done, but a royal pain in the you know what if you hit it by accident!

Microsoft has threatened to stop Skype Kit for a long time now, yet people ignored it and stayed on GWConnect; and now that they really did take it down, people are complaining because they didn't move to the official Skype client, and therefore didn't learn it.Another thing I'd like to point out is that when you're using what I like to call "a blindy client" That is, a client that acts as a substitution for a service that is out there that aims to either make the product more accessible, or improve upon the accessibility that is already there, you run the risk of the API that the client depends on being terminated.This doesn't just go for clients of this sort; I was just using that as an example. Had people started to slowly migrate and learn 
 the normal Skype client when Microsoft first gave the warning that the Skype Kit wouldn't be around much longer, we wouldn't be having this problem. If you want the keybindings that GWConnect offers, then all you need is an extension for Skype called Skype Talking. It does the same as gw connect, and I'd even say it does it far better than GWConnect ever did.One more thing. They sell Social Eyes because they are a company, and companies need and want money. This is no different than going to say, the apple appstore, and buying the Facely client for facebook. The only reason it's different is because people are associating purchasing Social Eyes with the fact that assistive technology often carries a rather large price tag. Once again, I'm lead back to the point, if you don't like it, do not buy it. You cannot complain that you have to spend your money in order to access Facebook because this is in no way true. However, if Facebook were not 
 accessible, and Social Eyes was the only way to use it, then yes, you could complain a little more.To wrap up. If you don't like it, do not buy it. There is no one telling you that you have to use these products. Sit down for five or so minutes and learn the basics of the Skype client.
