[ilugd] [Commercial] Co-locating with Srijan in Gurgaon
We're based at Signature Towers in Gurgaon. The office space we currently (about 2850 sq. ft.) have is much larger than what we require in the current team. We had a lot of aggressive growth plans, which are shelved. Our Dev+QA team size is about 25 people. We plan to remain broadly this size only. The office rental is quite a lot, and therefore we're looking out for companies who may want to co-locate. Our office can easily accommodate a team of 15-20 people. We could have a common Admin department. We're interested in companies with whom we could form a business 'synergy' - those working in the following domains: - Social Media Marketing - Design agencies - Corporate training - Content/Technical Writing - Software Development (Drupal, Rails, Java, Django) About Srijan Srijan Technologies is a leading Drupal development company having built sites like www.openthemagazine.com and www.mnn.com. However, the site works if you give the following url(at least till now): https://netbanking.abnamro.co.in/BANKAWAY?Action.RetUser.Init.001=YAppSignonBankId=ABNAppType=corporate This has finally motivated me into closing this account - online if possible otherwise the next time I am in Delhi. But they were much more sympathetic though I had to use Opera with Mask as IE option to actually register the security code. Opera in Mask as IE has worked for several other banks but not for Bank of India and it did not work for the ABN AMRO's home page either. I am worried about the security practices of our financial institutions. I registered for online access to a mutual fund. They asked for a password, security question, etc... and warned me to to keep it confidential. The idiots emailed my password to me! Re: [ilugd] Creative Capitalism
Niyam, Very good thoughts. At present I want to just give my comments. I think Budhism needs to be studied more carefully than it is normally. I am not a Buddist but have some idea. The Kshanikwad and why there is misary in the world is very well explained in Buddism. Redistribution of wealth does not solve problem of poverty. It was done 4 times by a king of Tibet and wealth concentrated again due to system. It needs deep study of social, political and economic understanding and deeper understanding of the forces operating in a particular society and a solution thereof. thanks Regards: Prof. (Dr.)A.K. What could be the worth of such a person with above skills after 5 years ?? Reason why i am asking is that before i switched to SA 5 years back from hardware board design.. my career graph was exponential and it just got flat since 5 years.. when i entered SA 5 years back.. i did not know what an NT system was.. and 2 years back i had no idea of linux..but still could implement above.. now do not advise me to change the company..i would have done that long back if i wanted.. and the people who i was guiding 5 years back in hardware designing have tripled their salaries in ASIC/ embeded..and are one position above my level in SA.. and now i am thinking of going back to ASIC now.. i am telling all this in support of my belief that there is much more money in technology development than in SA..at least that is what the management says.. any comments ?? Re: ATTENTION: Re: [ilugd] COMMERCIAL::System Administrator(level 1) -Urgent
Well.. What you say is also correct but i was talking in relative terms. e.g. same no. of experience in embeded could fetch double the salary.. and with due respect to our sys admin. profession.. IIT grads. would be more useful in designing more technical stuff like DSP / FPGA etc.. They would be more apted to work on Wireless/ embdeded technologies ... than doing all those kind of routine sys admin work... Working in technologies development would always be highest paid, non-redundant..and highly skilled jobs..Increments for the Sys admin would always be lower as compared to development engineers... it is market economics .. demand and supply type.. Like in Embeded and in ASIC.. it is not unusual to get 5+ lacs above after 3 years of experience.. and it would continue to double every 3-4 years or so.. BTW I am curious to know as to what is the average salary for Indian sys admins in say any MNC for following no. of year's experience.. ( assume that guy has required skills ) 1-2 yrs 3-5 yrs 6-8 yrs 10 yrs 10+ yrs Is there any salary survey for Indian IT guys.. ? I consider big money as 10-12 lacs p.a. for a 8-9 years experience engineering graduate..which is possible these days in Technology development areas.. Solution being used is from Symantec. snip Sending mails directly to the backup MXs, instead of the primary one, is a very popular way amongst spammers to avoid spam detection. The gist is that they know that this is a very common setup - primary MX has spam filtering and the backup MXs don't and, frequently, the primary MX accepts mails from the backup MXs blindly, i.e. they trust the backup MXs and don't filter mails from the backup MXs. Also, backup MXs generally don't check for the existence of user accounts [unless you have call forwards enabled] or quota limitations, so they accept any/all mails for a domain blindly. Spammers exploit this setup and send mails directly to the backup MXs. Solution: Run spam/anti-virus filtering on all publically exposed MXs. ___ ilugd mailinglist -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/

My point wasn't related to the original post, I was just trying to figure out the drawbacks of using some other SMTP server other than justifiably your own (the one indicated by your MX record). Yeah, i think it was everybody's dream that each SMTP server be able to relay for everybody, but then we had spam. And it would be a better idea to stick to your own (MX) servers for relaying your mail. If this were strictly followed along with reverse DNS lookup, there'd be less spamming (not perfecty zero though). This, along with what you mentioned about the SMTP server being able to detect bulk mailings, we could achieve good sterilisation. Though this may not always be possible, logistics or otherwise, then, as Mary pointed out in another thread (or was it this thread), the use of spf records. They would surely be a good step in fighting spam. Also, i feel every self respecting SMTP server should run a reverse DNS and make use of RBL lists till there is definitive way to fight spam. -js ___ ilugd mailinglist -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ -- anil bindal [EMAIL PROTECTED] dcm technologies ___ ilugd mailinglist -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/

[ilugd] Sendmail multiple recipients delivery failure
Hi all, Sendmail does not deliver the email to any of the local recipients if any of the ID is non-deliverable. But it does deliver to local recipient if other IDs are non-local What is the fix to this bizarre behavior ?? We would like sendmail to deliver the email to deliverable local recipients even if one Email ID typed is wrong. Re: [ilugd] Sendmail multiple recipients delivery failure
Hello Amit, It did not help. Actually what we want is that if for any reason some types a wrong local email ID along with other valid email IDs, mail should be delivered to valid IDs and there should be a non-delivery POP up for invalid ID. This is how it used to happen in Exchange server.. I guess Sandip Bhattacharya also faced similar problem but am not sure if the problem was solved.. regards anil On Tue, 2004-04-20 at 18:06, Amit Sharma wrote: open /etc/mail/virtusertable put an entry as @yourdomain.com tabtab [EMAIL PROTECTED] where abc is valid account on your server. restart sendmail. confirm please. amit [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- anil bindal [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Hi all, Sendmail does not deliver the email to any of the local recipients if any of the ID is non-deliverable.
