Right, and cheaper oil means more people will be able to effectively heat their
homes.
A study ( look at the author, cough, cough) back in 1997 showed that better
heat at home and in the workplace leads to lower rates of cardiovascular

We have too much crude on hand and not enough ability to process it for
domestic use. At current prices (retail) the industry loses money if that
floods the market. The consumer is at the mercy of the industry. petro folks
can not stop production or reduce it more than it is at the moment. Product
has to go someplace.

Gotta throw the b.s. flag on that, relative is an engineer "in the
business" and explained how the oil is sent in measured slugs, water
between slugs, and the size of each slug is known and transmitted to
the receiving end. When somebody's slug is short, they immediately
know they have a problem, usually even before receiving the slug
they would see a pressure drop. The valve timing at the receiving
end has to be very precise to separate the slugs. "This is Joey's
oil, goes into that tank. Next is Bob's oil, goes into this tank"
24 / 7 operation, somebody (usually many somebody's) are there ALL
the time, making sure the oil goes to the right place.

that is true. In my limited experience with a propane pipeline, the
operators immediately saw the drop in pressure, but instead of
calling out crews to shut off the valves, they decided at 2 am it was
easier to blame the pressure drop on instrumentation than to call out
2 guys to shut off 2 valves. The result was 3-4 dead. Neighbors had
to find the valves, cut the chains and shut off the valves

The resultant explosion was heard 80 to 100 miles away. Any
surviving wildlife cleared out for a mile or two around, and it was
20 years before much but sparrows came around again.

Propane pipelines are ticking timebombs, but still MUCH safer than
warrens railroads.

I don't have comparative statistics (not so easy to find unbiased info), but
my impression is that rail shipments go through populated areas and have

I read about pipelines is that they pollute when there are leaks, and that
the leaks are fewer, but spill more oil. My bias goes to saving more lives.

The beauty of the failure is that "service" is no longer something we
want. Understand sipseystreet - the reality of corruption in this
system is that we don't want any type of "service." Not even
education.

Besides, look at what you said. One person here or there in the gov't
"service" sectors ain't a hill'o beans toward any solution. The
"service" people have rights too! You can't discriminate, not even
for the sake of nation saving. Nobody, realize, nobody wants this to
suceed, nobody. Nobody will give anything - we merely want to take -
"service." All for me, none for you - i.e. income disparity,
education, "services" , military escapades, global climate change.

Won't argue much with that, though Tim Scott seems half smart (but we
weren't talking about smart -- way to deflect the discussion). A friend
of mine, who is a very reasonable person, knows him pretty well (and his
daughter works for Tim), and has for a long time, and thinks quite
highly of him though he has done some things I find a bit questionable.
Another friend of mine, a flaming liberal from Lawn Guyland, accuses
Scott of being a "disgrace to his race" because he has the temerity to
be a R and espouse such principles. She believes he should uniformly
vote for free sh*t and if he doesn't he is a "disgrace to his race."

Miss Lindsey defies words.

I'm not planning on voting for Hillary, Roger. I'm waiting to see how the
primaries turn out. Since the Supremes have let nearly anyone or any
corporation worldwide contribute to U.S. political campaigns, it's hard to even
guess what the effect will be.
Since Bush has built the largest war chest, he's probably going to be the
Republican candidate, but that's no certainty under the present circumstances.
I'm not planning on voting for Trump or Christie either. That was TIC BS. [:o)

THAT is a sad commentary, indeed.

Maybe it is because it is a thankless job, being a politician? The only
people interested anymore are odd balls and crooks.

The fall of the empire is nearer than we would like to believe?

Gerry,
I think you have it backwards.  Bill was/is actually Hillary's sock
puppet.  How many did she have killed over White Water, last count was around
50.  And Foster killing himself and Hillary ending up with his personal files.
Pleease!!!   Hillary is a dangerous, maniacal, power hungry person.
Remember, Bill was a mess as governor, Hillary slapped him around, and he was
back as governordoesn't speak well for the intellect of the Ark. folks, but
that's another story for another day.
Anyway, Bernie is just a typical Democrat distraction to make voters think
that there is actually independent thought and competition in the Democratic
Party.  Remember, Democrats share the "Borg" brain so they can't really act
independent...I remember when there were actual, real moderate and conservative
Democrats.  But then, I also remember when there were actual, real moderate and
conservative Republicans...now just RINOS.
You may disagree and that's good.  Keeps us from acting like the "Borg"
as well.

Andrew sez: So-called "natural pollution" wouldn't be burning your

by human activity (burning fossil fuels). Why is this so difficult
for you to understand?

Well, actually it is smoke from forest fars in Canyada.

But the point is that natural pollution far exceeds the total

create massive pollution, and generally within hours, the earf's

I have a serious question here, Andy is the just the guy to help me out.

Hillary! very clearly has some huge baggage she is dragging around, most
recently this whole business with the personal unsecured email server,
running national-sensitive stuff through it, lying about it, not turning
over all the stuff that has been subpoenaed, using employees of her
foundation to run intel operations, stonewalling Congress, taking huge
amounts of foreign money into the foundation while SoS and dealing with
issues related to those donations, ... the list goes on.

Are Hillary! supporters really blind to all of this, or does it not
matter, or do they think that none of this is real or has any relevance
to the assumption that it is Her Turn?

I really want to know this. I don't want partisan bashing of her or any
other candidate, I truly want to know if the HRC supporters have
explanations for all this that makes it irrelevant to her candidacy. I
have friends/acquaintances who really see nothing here to be concerned
about, but can't articulate any reasons. It's like they just ignore it,
or don't see it, or something, when clearly it is out there and fairly
important stuff.

It's a tossup as to who is the greater buffoon between him and Christie,
who officially announced today. Get out the popcorn.

Re: [MBZ] the sky is falling

2015-06-30 Thread archer75--- via Mercedes

As a loyal American who loves our government and all of its hard working
bureaucrats, I wish they would clear up the obvious conflict between global
warming and global cooling.

"During the 1970s the media promoted global cooling alarmism with dire threats
of a new ice age. Extreme weather events were hyped as signs of the coming
apocalypse and man-made pollution was blamed as the cause. Environmental
extremists called for everything from outlawing the internal combustion engine
to communist style population controls..."

http://www.populartechnology.net/2013/02/the-1970s-global-cooling-alarmism.html

The only solution I can think of is to combine the two; (they would cancel out
each other); and put the world back into its present boring state.

Scaffolding support is being built for both of them I wager, in preparation
for their treason trial and conviction. If not being built, the plans and
permits have been applied for.

The Citizens are reaching their tolerance critical mass rather quickly, I
believe.
The great society experiment with socialism has turned into a bad acid trip
and it seems to me, there is about to be a whole lot of harsh brought onto
a whole pile of "mellows".

Just observations, from my view at the back of the dog team..

Re: [MBZ] the sky is falling

2015-06-30 Thread Rich Thomas via Mercedes
Bernie is the unapologetic socialist that Hillary! wants to be, and
doesn't have all the baggage of lies and criminal activity, so I'd say
go with Bernie since the Cherokee Princess has not jumped in yet. He is
also a lot more entertaining than Hilz and doesn't have that
paint-stripping vocal manner.

But, what difference, at this point, does it make?

Well, actually it is smoke from forest fars in

But the point is that natural pollution far

Re: [MBZ] the sky is falling

2015-06-30 Thread Rich Thomas via Mercedes
You are emitting "displaced emissions" -- time-displaced emissions. The
solar-powered dinosaurs lived and died millions of years ago when the
whole Earth was globally warm, before racist bigot trans/homophobe
misogynistic gun-totin bible-thumping battle flag-wavin non-rainbow
rednecks, and turned into all which turns into dino-dizzel (unless you
use newer solar-powered soybean bio-dizzel) so really you are using
solar power that is millions of years old. The dino-dizzel is like a
giant solar-powered chemical battery that just happens to be a liquid
you can pump into a tank and combust in your German dizzel engine.

You can FEEL better now about it, and not have to turn in your
Bernie Sanders Fan Club Membership Card.

Well, actually it is smoke from forest fars in Canyada.

But the point is that natural pollution far exceeds the total
accumulation
of all "manmade" pollution. Volcanoes, forest fars etc create massive
pollution, and generally within hours, the earf's regenerative powers

For yesterday, I was happy for the sun being obscured so I didn't get

still obscured.

A single volcanic eruption releases how many times more co2 that man has since
