Re: Bugs in .19/.20: IMAP
Hi Peter, PFIf messages are automatically filtered from an outbox to an IMAP PFfolder, the Outbox folder (local or remote) is not unbolded after PFthe message is sent. In other words, TB! does not know that the PFmessage has be removed from the outbox. If you select the outbox PFagain, the bolding disappears. For me this is broken with Exchange PFand Mailmax. See the thread beginning with PFmid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Couldn't reproduce, may be some other tips? Like immediately sending or sending batch of mails? PFAutomatically saved drafts sometimes do not supercede/overwrite PFprevious versions of same message (Mailmax, remote outbox) = this is PFprobably due to the connection problem above: The delete flag not set PFcorrectly as the connection hangs. That's strange issue, sometimes I have no problems, sometimes Outbox fills too fast. Do you have any anchors like low speed? RC1 -- AVs continue on Entering Search
Hello Batpeople, I'm still getting two cascading AVs when entering search, followed by an AV if I tray to print a message found via search. In 3.0.9.19 I was pretty consistently getting an AV at 07BF333 in the Bat.exe. Read of address 0008. The printing AV was at 1A00 with the same 1A00 read address. In 3.0.9.20 I was pretty consistently getting an AV at 008077D7 in the Bat.exe. Read of address 0008. The printing AV was at 0001 with the same 0001 read address. In RC1 the AV addresses seem to be varying but the read address is a consistent 0008. The printing AV seems to be a consistent for both. -- Best regards, Richard Richard Newman --- I'm using 3.5 Return RC1 under Windows XP 5 1 2600 on a Pentium 4, @ 1.9GHz Current beta is 3.5 Return RC/1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
3.5RC1 -- Current nits
Hello tbbeta, First and FWIW, I like the smaller icons. The following items are still problematical: 1.) From the folder list window 'tab' to the message list window, Ctrl-A selects all the messages (preview window still says no message selected), delete is not available on the right click menu nor does the delete key work. Once any message has been selected, Ctrl-A / delete works as expected. FWIW, there are other options that are also grayed that I would expect to not be. In particular, 'Move to' is also grayed. However, unlike Delete, I can use the mouse to move the selected messages. 2.) Tab order through Folder list - message list - message preview still stops at ... I think message preview (tough to tell when nothing is there to see wink). In addition, it now cycles through the 'Quick search' list box if that is open. This is mostly a nit as far as I am concerned. 4.) Still no Key Assignment menu. I know that is a 'back burner' issue, but this is a Release Candidate wink 5.) Access violations: I didn't have any with 9.20 and none yet with RC1 either. But hopefully this can be crossed off my list finally g Those are the only ones I still have left on my list. -- Best regards, MikeD mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! v3.5 Return RC1 w/BayesIt! 0.8.0 Release on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Current beta is 3.5 Return RC/1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

RC1, Message list in folder view, read-unread distinction
Hello 9Val! For me, the View Folder message list no longer distinguishes read from unread messages, as it used to before I installed RC1. (The counter in the Account folder tree counts accurately, but no way to tell by inspecting the message list itself which messages are yet unread.) The Unread messages are displayed in regular, not bold, typeface. There is no difference in color of the small envelopes to the left of the Park column. I tried different fonts, and I tried high color images or not. No difference in the appearance, however. I will greatly miss this feature if it is gone forever! (I had hoped it might be related to the icon-size, fixed for me by deleting the .xml file and re-launching TB!) But it was not. Hello 9Val! On Friday, April 29, 2005, 3:52 PM, you wrote: Hmm, here is my screenshot Thanks. It's as mine used to look in .19. So--see below: MB The Unread messages are displayed in regular, not bold, typeface. Please check if default colour group has bold typeface set for unread messages Ah. I did not think to look in Default/edit. But did now. Somehow--I didn't do it so far as I know, but it happened with my installing RC1--Normal was checked to be Bold as well as Unread Bold. Since--for contrast for my old eyes--I'm using Arial Black, I thought all the message listings were in Regular, but they were, both Read and Unread, in Bold. I unchecked the Bold for Normal, and all is well. Fixed now, and many thanks. MB There is no difference in color of the small envelopes to the left of MB the Park column. That's strange I should say that I'm using the Default Theme and color scheme. And I used to have yellow envelopes for unread messages. I will poke around among the settings and see if there's something I missed there, also. MB I will greatly miss this feature if it is gone forever! (I had hoped MB it might be related to the icon-size, fixed for me by deleting the MB .xml file and re-launching TB!) But it was not. Examples: the bug mentioned above, references sorting and so on. I hold the opinion that a release where the number of bugs do not seem significantly smaller than in the previous release version (3.0.1.33) should be postponed until this has changed. Major issues with RC1
So - on XP, SP2 RC1 has major issues for me a) Memory usage. For the first time I've had TB! consume 132Mb RAM on my machine - 4x what it usually does. b) Antivirus folder scanning is still broken with AVG at least (Anti virus plugin reports an error) c) I still have very lumpy performance with 100% CPU issues on 2 separate machines when POP3 connections are broken d) I still have 2AV everytime I run Message finder (but only on 1 machine now?) All mails without character set tag set filtered in this folder just use None as their character set, and that make me have to select their character set one by one. still persists. Even worse, with another mail, the character set pop up menu item was auto-selected what I've selected, but the mail persisted displaying gibberish, I have to select another character set and select back the correct one to make it readable. well in 3.5rc1, this part was fixed. And mail without character tag set can be identified as using None of the character set. -- Best regards, Bobi Jam TB! 3.5 Return RC1 on Windows XP 5.1.2600 Service Pack 2 Current beta is 3.5 Return RC/1 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
