I am very glad that you can't read the words from journalists and think that
journalists are so smart to type a words. Free avast-browser plugin that was

I see you don't have staff in your office who would click on any attachment,
especially when it ways "invoice" or "payment". I am in the logistics industry,
and we received targeted emails with malware payment; called "vessel delay
notice" or "shipping documents" which are subject and attachment names we
received legitimately regularly.

I have also encountered websites of government ministries were I had to look up
something and avast! sounded an alarm because the website had some malware it
wanted to download onto my computer. I don't click on suspicious links, but
legit URLs can be infected too.

So, please don't tell me that AV software has no use. Thanks.

Exactly! Thanks, sometimes I'm blind. I had searched the menu navigator for
"preview" and that did not show this.

Seriously? I'm a paying customer and quite happy with it, espeically the mail
and web shields. At the time I chose avast! (many years ago), it was
recommended over Windows Defender. Things change, and I will do some research
on this.

Preview pane missing

2021-07-03 Thread Thomas Fernandez
Dear TBEETA,

Writing from my laptop as my PC's TB! became inoperable. I installed 9.4 from
the MSI, and all was normal, I even posted a message here. I left TB! open as
usual while working on something else, and then when I went back to TB!, the
preview pane was gone.

Workspace / Window split / Full-height account tree remained unchanged. I
played around changed to other window split settings, but in no setting is the
preview pane visible in any more.

Went back to 9.3.4 by using the msi file for that, and still no preview pane in
any window split setting. That's what confused me the most. If it is a bug in
9.4, all should have gone back to normal after going back but it didn't.

Any idea what the reason could be? I probably inadvertedly hit some crtl-key
combo...

Remark: avast! updated in the background and I thought that may have to do with
it. However, I disabled avast!, restarted the computer, and still no preview
pane. (I have enabled avast! again, don't worry.)

(I have also not connected to any network printer spooler, so we can rule that
out.)

Thanks for any hints,

Thomas.

Hi all,

It seems this old bug is being ignored in latest builds:

Try to copy several lines of text from the preview pane (it seems to be only
applicable for html messages). Then try to paste what you've copied somewhere.
Last line is lost. It just doesn't get copied.

However, if the message is opened in a separate window, everything works fine.

Can anyone confirm this?

Stef, almost perfeft now :-)

I have checked working with nested message and I am not sure, if it is
fully working:

reply to nested message -> opened editor with nested message
forward to nested message -> opened editor with original message
redirect to nested message -> opened editor with nested message
save as to nested message -> saves original message text, not nested one

for now, only Undo/Redo/Copy/Paste/Cut functions are available in Preview
pane, when is nested message selected.

And this is major step back for me, because now I must open every nested
message to viewer instead working with original and nested message in
Preview Pane.

Is this by design now or a bug in bugfix?

No message in preview pane and will not minimize

2007-11-12 Thread Neal Laugman
Hi folks,

Every so often I will select a folder with new messages and I will not
see any message text in the preview pane (using text-only) - including
postings from this list. At the same time, the program window will not
minimize to the tray, until I either use the tray icon context menu
Restore or the system menu Minimize (upper left corner on the app
window).

Once I do this, and the application is able to minimize, the preview
pane again shows its message text. I believe the minimize-to-tray
function was an issue not so long ago.

From the main window with a 'Full Account Tree' selected I have noticed
the text for the 'Headers' menu under View is missing, and by selecting
or un-selecting a header does not work. However if I right click on the
header pane from the main window with a 'Full Account Tree' selected
that I can change the headers viewed. Also from the 'Edit Mail Message'
I can View | select new header and use the scroll bar to see it in the
header area.

IMAP: Virtual folders and preview pane

2004-11-07 Thread Martin Webster

Hello TBBETA,

When I switch to a virtual folder I usually see the last message
viewed in the preview pane... that is, if the message is from a POP3
account. With IMAP I only see "No message loaded" with the oldest
messages shown in the message list or the last viewed POP3 message. As
soon as I select an IMAP message it is displayed.

I don't know whether this is a bug or just something that's not
implemented. However, it means virtual folders have limited use when
used with IMAP.

I have found a consistent on this machine for losing the preview pane.
I can minimize with no ill effect. However, if I just move to a
folder with over 3000 posts, the preview pane is history/gone. It is also
gone for any folder from that point onward.

My fix that consistently works is to use the View > Windows split mode> any
option. Then I can go back to my original split mode (full width
pre-view) and everything is back to normal, and the weird part is I
can then pull up the folder with over 3000 messages and the preview
pane works just fine.

Anyone else able to get this work-around to help out?

Click your custom header on Options\Messages\Message Headers, select
your custom header and click Edit button. Unselect the "Display this
field on the scrollable part of the header pane" option. This should
help.
