I get where you're going. What it comes down to is Music, any kind, whoever
makes it, from whatever race etc. will be adopted by those that enjoy it,
identify w/ it etc.. The audience may change, but CREATORS don't! Rap has
African, African/American roots, but that white boy Eminem kicks.
For what it's worth, I've noticed a reversion to more
live instruments in dp house lately. It reminds me
of disco instrumentation, but updated to fit the new
mold.
I'd say things are moving in both directions at once
though, since many electronic music producers are
going to entirely soft
