Sounds like the ar_install script spawned a new shell to fork arserverd & friends (pretty likely). Check that all of the env settings you'd need ORACLE_HOME & LD_LIBRARY_PATH in particular, are set in the user's run control file for the shell you're using (i.e. ~/.cshrc, ~/.bashrc, etc). -A

Encounter stranges stuff with alerts. The alerts got sent to user before its commited in the database; ie the alert is not saved and its still deliverd to the user. This can be reproduced like this. 1) Create a display only form with one field. 2) Create a filter on this form that trigger on submi
