I recently started running a Transporter without preamp into a pair of
valve monoblocks - PrimaLuna Prologue Sevens - with success.
* The output impedance of the Tp is 100R, vs the amps' input of

That would just help you do a reality check.

tracks have artefacts that are easily audible, such as burbling hiss

So I set up a

Where should I place a Radio Shack like switch?

yes, Only by using the pre input on the avr4800 i avoid the extra

before the power amp, or is it better or safer before the avr4800 pre

Sounds much better to me too, thanks Inguz.
I will run my sweeps again in case I messed that up. For some reason my
Maudio mobile pre would only record mic on channel 1, so line ended up
on channel 2, which was the same for both sweeps. I swapped the tracks
(one sweep only) in Audacity so they

Has anyone tested the Transporter

I am sure that at least one have tried the transporter to feed a

Hey All,
I'm sure this has been covered but I don't see it. I would love to

analogue out of the transporter into my Arcam AV8 which I set to

Wow another WNA Mk2 owner. Still got to get mine connected to my
Transporter but am expecting great things.
My own experience with obtaining a Transporter couldn't have been more
different from yours. I was browsing the UK suppliers and unable to
find one that had them in stock. This was last
I max out the transporter and use the AV8 for volume control. In the

Now if only WNA were still in business I could buy David's balanced
input modules or go the whole hog and buy a second Mk2 PCB for a fully
balanced headphone amp to use with the TPs balanced outputs. Shame.

Yeah sorry I had a solution for the Bryston already (exactly what you

the AV8 must do for now. Is there a way without putting the signal

Cheers,

Thanks for the info. I think... can you put that into laymans terms.
In the meantime I am off to Google to try and figure it out. Ignorance
