In any case, I use Inguz for bass EQ and it works well. By adjusting
the overall bass response I was able to move the speakers further from
the back wall - this was arguably a very important though indirect
benefit.

Dropouts are not a normal situation IME. It shouldn't happen if you have
a good signal and have chosen a non-crowded channel. Certainly I don't

I use an inexpensive power filter (£40) which has an inductor in it to
filter out higher frequency noise. AFAIK this will give you 90% of what
you need in terms of clearing out the noise from AC.

If you take a WAV file and encode it into FLAC and Apple Lossless,
clearly the FLAC and Apple Lossless files themselves will differ.
However, when decoded they are the same again. The same logic applies
to different FLAC compression levels.

I am running Inguz on Linux with no problem, although I am still on
SC7.2 and don't use Jive.
If you're doing just EQ you can use warble test tones and a Radio Shack
sound meter (for which calibrations are available on the net by
catalogue number - PM me).

as I understand it.
Certainly in my experience I've never ever had a problem driving the
PX-100s - even from my mobile phone! This is a big reason they're one
of my favourite bits of gear (plus the fact they sound decent of
course)!

Would there be any technical advantage in feeding headphones from the
RCA outs of an SB3 rather than the headphone jack? BTW I use PX-100s
(one reason I like them is they're easy to drive).

it produces less RFI. I've done
very little listening with the switchmode PS and that was long ago. But
that is no fault of the switchmode PS. :)

Also I use the tacima mains filter from Maplin, my comments are the
