Tony Bigg, Luke Berg and I had a flock of 40 Bohemian Waxwings on County
Rd. 6 (S. Stoney Lake Rd) just (250 m??) north of Northey's Bay Rd
during the Petroglyphs CBC early this morning (Jan 2). This is just
east of Petroglyphs Provincial Park. They were not there when we
returned to the
The Glossy Ibis was still present this afternoon.
Note: When we started walking the trail we were stopped by a railroad crew and
informed that there would be no access to this area next week (for about one
week) as they will be tearing up the tracks.

For information about
Maureen Smith and I just ended our day of birding at Hall's Rd in Whitby. The
Hudsonian Godwit was present at 5:00 pm and gave great scoped view. It was in
the same location as I saw it yesterday at the north end of the pond.

Geese flying
in and there it was. This was at at 4:25 p.m.
On the way home, we check some Osprey nests north of Rice Lake but nothing,
except in one of the run-off ponds there was a Greater Yellowlegs.

Jerry Ball and I ran up to Flynn's Corners this morning before the storm to see
the Northern Hawk Owl Ed Poropat found yesterday. It was hunting the field
immediately east of the Flynn's gas bar, right on the corner of Hwys 36 and
507.

Waxwings with at least 4 Bohemians mixed in. The flock was
immediately south of the Elwood Hamilton Bus yards.
Two Bald Eagles were perched further up the Old Young's Point Rd on the island
just south of where Miller Creek empties into Lake Katchewanooka.
