I put up another page about Taz, not sure if any of you would want to read all
through it as it's meant more for those friends and family that knew him (and
just for me to kind of get down some of my memories of him in a tangible form
so I never forget)...but you might enjoy all the cute photos

So far, my daughter Emily (age 6) has lost two fish, a caterpillar, a cat,
and a pet gerbil.
We had the gerbil for about 18 months after "rescuing" it from her
preschool, who couldn't keep it anymore. We had a little funeral service
for the gerbil, and from time to time, Emily says a little praye

Kids I think often deal with such things amazingly well. They often don't dwell

Well, I do have another little sheltie now (so glad I didn't wait to get
another dog!) and he's a sweetie and I love him dearly too, but he really will

That is really sad. It is hard to lose a companion like that. I
remember losing our matriarchal dachshund Heidi when she was 15. My
parents breed her for many years and it was sad to lose a family
member that had been there my whole life.

Thanks everyone for the nice notes, I've had a busy day answering all the
dozens of emails from "Taz fans" around the world, uploading some new videos of
him, just trying to keep busy and not think too much about yesterday which has
helped a lot. Over 400 people have visited the little page I pu

Mary Jo,
I am so sorry, I can only imaging your grief... Taz was a very special
little guy. He's probably already playing with Tony's dog Rocky, on the
other side.
Godspeed little Taz :(

Mary Jo, I've read your blog about Taz and I smiled at a 9 year old dog

those weave poles. He was a remarkable dog sports partner as I am sure you
must be. When people told you that they wanted a dog just like Taz, they
