I put up another page about Taz, not sure if any of you would want to read all
through it as it's meant more for those friends and family that knew him (and
just for me to kind of get down some of my memories of him in a tangible form
so I never forget)...but you might enjoy all the cute photos
Yeah I guess I remember dealing with 4-5 animal loses as a kid so it
made my Grandmother and Grandfather passing away within 8 months of
each other just a little bit easier to absorb as a young adult.
Yeah the project hasn't been released yet so I think it was started
about 6 months ago so I
So far, my daughter Emily (age 6) has lost two fish, a caterpillar, a cat,
and a pet gerbil.
Its been very hard on my son losing his dog and his fish.
We had the gerbil for about 18 months after rescuing it from her
preschool, who couldn't keep it anymore. We had a little funeral service
Condolences, from this bunch of Valliants (showed the wife and kid the

Thanksto all of you. ;-)
My (and my family's) heart still aches when I think about him, and I
know that it's going to ache for, quite
Kavik died when monk was just two, but he still talks about him and his
death. I suppose it was like losing a brother because Kavik played with him
all the time.
I would expect a lot does depend on the type of pet and the amount of
attachment they have to it. I did have a lot of cats growing
My first pet death was a pet hamster when I was in second grade. Died in
the middle of the night and I found out one day before school. It all kinda
hit me when I went to school that day - I cried my eyes out and subsequently
had a nun pretty much beat the crap outta me in front of the whole

rocky bear was my main man, he was with me through 9/11, my failed
first marriage, my divorce, the meeting of my new wife, and then once
he saw i was ok, he gave up and the cancer finally took him over...
the week before he finally went, i swear 20+ friends came by that day

That is really sad. It is hard to lose a companion like that. I
remember losing our matriarchal dachshund Heidi when she was 15. My
parents breed her for many years and it was sad to lose a family
member that had been there my whole life.
We just moved into a house were we can now have pets and
keep your head up, and be good to your next little one, and im sure
he/she will be just as good to you as this one...
Well, I do have another little sheltie now (so glad I didn't wait to get
another dog!) and he's a sweetie and I love him dearly too, but he really will
never be special to me

MaryJo, I didn't know Taz, but I lost my beloved Samoyed this past July,
also very suddenly and I am still broken hearted. I am VERY sorry to hear
about the loss of your beloved pet. I hope in time you will remember the
joy he brought you all his life, instead of the sorrow of his passing.
Mary Jo, I've read your blog about Taz and I smiled at a 9 year old dog
taking 2nd at nadac nationals and at all his titles and his obvious joy in
those weave poles. He was a remarkable dog sports partner as I am sure you
must be. When people told you that they wanted a dog just like Taz,

Yes, I often told people that as well, that they don't ever come just born that
way, but he certainly made my job easy.
I want you to stop thinking about things
Sorry to hear that Mary Jo.

As mentioned on my blog article, best guess was a tumor causing him to bleed
internally. There definitely wasn't much else that would explain the way he
crashed, but without an autopsy there's no way to say for
