Three routers, R1,R2 and R3 all connected via a Frame Relay cloud with a
router in the middle doing frame relay switching. The frame switch is _not_
fully meshed. R1 is acting as the hub w

and use a program called screen. Using screen, two telnet sessions to the

Guys,
While studying the CIT. I read that using the extended ping you can change
the data pattern (0xABCD the default) to debug data sensitivity problems on
CSU/DSUs or to detect cable-related problems such as crosstalk.
I don't understand that, did anybody tried it.

this is indeed right.. except that some people mix between rollover and
cross-over, which is totally different as pin 1 & 2 attach to 3 & 6
respectively.
That's why i meant to be as clear as possible by using the term "inverted"
