Once you create a sub-interface you can't change it
from multipoint to point-to-point and vice versa.
Also, if you remove sub interfaces they aren't
completely removed from memory until the rout
At some point since the last time you rebooted this router, you
must have configured the same subinterface as multipoint.
Either choose a different subinterface number or remove the
subinterface and reboot the router. That will allow you to use
the same number with a different link type.

I used both, Concentrator is very impressive. Support
from Cisco TAC is great. Checkpoint VPN is good too,

quite a variety of both the older and newer 1900s and the newer ones all
have the [K] Command Line option.

The Catalyst 2924XL uses IOS . Catalyst 5000 series switches uses CatOS (the
set based OS).

Have faced some weird problems when working with 4 port BRI module in 3662
router. The 3662 router has 12.1(5)T10 IP Plus IOS.
Some of the problems faced are as under :
The "dialer idle-timeout" on dialer interfaces does not work. The
connections (ppp multilink bundle) are disconnected
i used to use cisco's tftp server on win 98/2000/xp and there have been no
problems.
however, one day my tftp on xp suddenly doesn't work for no reason. No
matter what i do, it just timed out. I then download 3com's tftp server
s/ware (another freeware) and it works again!

Just to give you some hope, I'm using Pumpkin on my XP laptop.
I never have a single problem with it.
I don't really know what to suggest, but feel free to e-mail me direct if
you would like to compare any specific setings you may suspect.
Mine's been on that long that I don't really remember if
I've done plenty of TFTP transfers in Win XP with
Pumpkin with no problem. It's all I use for TFTP.
