not quite john..
using your example, a correct example would be something like:
191.72.0.0 /24 (0 = )
191.72.1.0 /24
191.72.2.0 /24
191.72.3.0 /24

191.72.221.0 /24
191.72.222.0 /24
191.72.223.0 /24 (223 = 0001)
you can than summarise the above
191.72.223.0 /24 (223 = 0001)
Whoa! 223 does not equal 0001. 223 equals 1101.
JohnZ was correct in his original post, that his list of subnets can be

and it is true in chuck's addendum. however it might give the
impression to the orignal poster that this is ok to do all the time

Thanks for your suggestions. I will try them this afternoon.
Cisco's own example for this shows IP address on the interfaces (not the

I was also hoping to route the traffic accross the WAN in addition to
bridging between PC's but I will get to that after I

Dear Joel -
I read in the Switching Services Configuration Guide, page XC-15, that
Fast switching is not supported on serial interfaces using encapsulations
other than HDLC. This contradicts earlier examples, particularly where fast
switching is enabled on the hub side of a frame relay
depending on the device and how many slots are populated, show tech can be
quite overwhelming ;-)
