this path. All I could conclude was that it must have
been hardcoded in somehow during the compile by the packager. I
used rpmfind.net to find another RPM (this one from Mandrake), and
it seemed to install without any problems.

you to edit the files in /etc/pcmcia. (Most of those tutorials
I have seen also talk about compiling everything from scratch.)
Maybe it will work for you, but it didn't for me. I had to
stick with iwconfig.

Tim,
> any chance that the Gold and Silver cards setup the same?
Setup for the Gold and Silver cards is identical except for the
encryption keys. Silver supports 40-bit encryption (or is it 64?),
Gold supports 128-bit encryption[1]. That is the difference.
So when you are using 'iwconfig' to
nk of anything else (tips, tricks or notes), please send it my

I will. At some point *soon*, I want to get it working again at my
house... I just haven't had the time to do so.

Hey... let's get 5.0 out there first before we worry about 5.1! ;-)
I am not directly involved with the NOC development so I cannot say
for certain, but I would certainly expect the NOC to work this way.

Curious... as the old URL should still work.

t some additional
information necessary to make the software into a blade but in
getting the software into an RPM, you have done most of the work.
Stay tuned for more information.

Dean,

Worked fine for me. (My home server also does not boot from CD.)
A new floppy should solve the problem.

FYI, incidents.org now has a page up about the worm:

As Blake mentioned, there are reports of IE5 automatically executing this.
(Although it still sounds like a user has to open the attachment.)
