able to 16 bit stereo 44.1 khz (sampling rate).

although I didn't know until you mentioned it since I use the preamp
for volume control. I have the opposite problem on the preamp - I touch

I think you are confusing *Folder* Art with *File* Art.
tagrename will download, add and display Folder art for all file
types, but it cant actually embed artwork into the actual files for OGG
or FLAC.

Yeah, mp3tag does to. A bit of a flaw in the software IMO. If they cant
write certain data to some tags, you should atleast get an error message

Before I bought the squeezebox all my music was in itunes library and I
ripped some CD in Apple's AAC format.

Yes, connected over a network via USB2 from an NSLU2, rescanning is when
you'd notice the slowdown.
You don't need internal IDE/SATA speeds when you're serving music, but
rescan needs as much speed as possible. Lots of I/O requests,
particularly for 12.5K tracks.
You must notice your network
My scan takes about 2 hours as well and I have all my music on an NSLU2
as well. That's scanning 9076 tracks. I schedule my scans to run in the
wee hours so I'm not affected by it. If I really need to access new
music right away, I'll just force a read by browsing the music folder.

I just rip with EAC to FLAC then get my artwork with Album Cover Art
Downloader.
I have never really have any problems with the tags EAC generates.
Sometimes trancode to OGG or MP3 for portable use with Foobar2000.

6 months ago I bought a SB3 and I already own a SB2. The product is
great, I use the SqueezeNetowrk - Pandora service all the time. I
noticed though that the SB3 stops playing on a regular basis and cannot
reconnect to the SqueezeNetwork while the SB2 keeps on playing.

About the only thing you can check is whether the remote is working
properly, i.e. check the batteries. I believe you can also pick up a
dim glow from the IR emitter with a digital camera in a dark room.
If the remote is working and it won't reset on power-up, definitely
call support.

done this in the past. Depending on the camera, you can get away with
doing it in a daylight filled room and still get a bright white dot.
Most new DigiCams have an IR filter over the sensor, but older ones
don't always (like my old Olympus C-2020z)

Try doing a clear/rescan.
Which version are you running? That error sounds familiar, but I
thought it was fixed a while back. IIRC, it was usually caused by
renaming, deleting, or moving a directory in the music folder.

wireless router is a little far, so he bought a pair of Level One
PL-2021 Powerline ethernet adaptors.
I spent two hours at his place and could not get then to work with the

performance is highly variable. Some report it does fine, others report
lousy results, and some (like me) report both. It depends on a lot of
