For example, a simple 'smart playlist' for me is 2 entries each

OP Update: All fixed!
The poor Classic has been in hibernation for months - would not even
respond to unplugging the power and connecting again. I took a chance
and ordered a new power adapter (wall wart) for the misbehaving Classic:

searching on iPeng.
Thanks
Recently posted about my Classic that has, per people smarter than me, a
faulty IR sensor. Pressing any remote key causes wild behavior where
words and numbers just fly by. Plays perfectly once the madness stops.

When I am tired - not really thinking clearly...
I have all this equipment and never did a basic test. The so-called
'bad' remote works fine with all my other Squeezebox units and the other
remotes in the house cause the same weird behavior with flying volume
only with my bedroom Classic. So it i

Thank you! I found a post how to take it apart but way too tired to do
it now (it's 1:30AM). I appreciate the response!
My Squeezebox Classic volume is controlled by its own remote. Just today
if I press the volume control and release, let's say down, the volume
goes all the way to zero by itself. If I press the volume control up and
release, the volume goes all the way to 100 all by itself. It is only by
luck that

Thank you for the reply.
As part of the upgrade process, a full rescan is done automatically. I
just did another one to see if it would help, but it did not.
I have no problems with 7.4.1 except for the cover art and iPeng. My 4
Squeeze devices work fine.
Again, thanks.
