Both, my K3 and IC 761 have very good noise blankers, so maybe Elecraft

this?
If not, I can make up a small relay box which takes a feed off the
antenna input to Ant 1 socket and feeds it to Aux RF on receive and
grounds Aux RF on transmit and I can switch it via the PA PTT switch on
my mHam Keyer. An internal switching solution would be more sophisticated!

Hmm, that would be nice but I suspect we will mostly be running on a
lower band and searching for QSOs on a higher band. Eg, running 20m,
searching 10/15, running 40 searching 20, running 80 searching 40/20. If
we had a decent opening on 15/10 it might work. Thanks for the thought Al.

Hi Folks,
There are others way up front in the queue: I planned to be the one to
open the door for future K3 buyers, but some OM will be there first.
The K2 is on the list of approved transceivers, So let's get the K3 on
that list asap, too!
By mistake, I deleted the list with the post from a HS0
a moderate selection of
standard sizes; I wanted a smaller one for an antenna lead in and had a
very difficult time finding a vendor that would sell to me.
Is there such a beast made specifically for Ham radio type applications?
Not that I know of.

In principle, is the K3 capable of measuring the IMD of its own transmitted
PSK signal? And if so, would a firmware change enable the IMD to be
displayed?

Sorry you feel that way Chris, but if you do decide to cancel your K3
order (which I am sure you won't) then please give me an opportunity
to buy it from you first!

Hi All:
when I tried to choose the U.S. Postal Service's shipping options,
both were rejected by the system. Only UPS worked. Q: Is there a
glitch, or why can't I choose the Priority service?

I highly recommend that you follow Don W3FPR's advice at

and wire an additional jack. This is a great way to go - now when
I operate portable holiday style, I drag a small smart charger
with me to keep the battery topped up.

be audible sidetone?
