Has anyone been successful in getting the linux version of real audio to
work? I followed the directions that came with it and I still can't get it
to play correctly. It will come up and wont play anything I try to get it to
play.

Problem solved!
It was rather dirty, but I have it working. In case anyone is wondering:
I copied map and boot.b from the boot floppy disk. (not sure about this
since boot.b is generated after running LiLo, but I don't know about map).
I set lilo.conf such that
boot=/dev/fd0
One way is to open a terminal and use the command ps -A to find out what pid
gmc is using. Once you find that out you can then go and use the command
kill -9 "sub pid # here" and it should kill the gmc application. This will

I have at last got around to installing V7.0 on my Server/Router, all appeas
well execpt for ppp0 on boot, where I get the message "FAILED trying in
background", when in fact the modem has dialed and connected.
Not a big one but would like to have a clean boot, whats the fix :-))
After a power failure, and the fsck on reboot, I
no longer have any display. The screen flashes a few lines of snow every few
seconds.
It doesn't respond to ctrl+alt+backspace and
will not switch terminals.
Its not hardware because the display is fine up
to the point where X starts.
