real pain, but you should then see the incoming packet getting dropped.
I'm not familiar with mnf , but OK with bastille and shorewall.
But they all have to interface with iptables in the end

xinetd is happy with port forward to a subnet, so it should work

Hi, just double checked on this machine and ran out of disk space.
On this machine I have a win4lin kernel so ther's an addition patch.
What fitted on a 1.44 floppy was 2.4.22-21 off a virgin install of 9.2.
So perhaps its very marginal on space, or maybe modules

you checked that it's using tone dialing rather than pulse dialing? Pulse
dialing would cause the modem to click, and it may not work on modern
exchanges.

But why not edit /etc/services on their machines and change the port
used for ssh from 22 to say 4567..or what ever

I upgraded from 9.1 to 9.2 the same as the vast majority will do.
If you print from 1.4 on a 9.1 system you get the same stupid font, and
only able to type about 4 words before forcing on to a new line.

heavily hammered I cant down load the lists

There are some tarballs , but I prefer to use RPMs as they are much
easier to upgrade.

it? At least three people have asked recently, and its dead easy with
Windows, so its a big lossage for Linux.

u can find a 1660 it gets
good reports. The 1670 is not Linux compatible. I swapped my 1670 for a 2400
and I'm well pleased with it, but it's a bit above your price threshold.

No, it executes on the client side, but it is supported by just about every

I know how you feel. I just had a catastrophic disk failure that wiped / and
/home. Now I'm running backups every night to CD-RW.
(It's not all bad. Now I have 160GB to play with :-))

I could'nt compile the GUI which is xforms based as there were so many
link errors.
However, I found a gui written in Perl which works , so that application
is up and running. Its not Newbie friendly !!.
