Can someone explain to me how this happened. I checked my servers mail log
and there is no log of mail being sent to this addy nor at that time. How can

ip's but you can use two nic's and assign seperate ip's to each one. eth0 and

If you want to erase the mbr try using an old DOS 6.2 install disk. Boot it

That is what my understanding was. you wouyld asign like 5 to your primary
email server and 10 to the backup. Assigning the same number would just make
things a little screwy.

The !X means you are administrativly blocked for udp packets you might try
traceroute -I xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx to see if you are blocked for ICMP packets.
Anyhow whoever admins the router before your connection has those ports
blocked more than likely.

This will probably sort out cups; let us know if it does. You can also
set the hostname explicitly in the /etc/cups/cupsd.conf file, as the
error indicates, but you should fix /etc/hosts anyway, as cups is not
all that may choke (to one extent or another
sic as not having the "kernel-source" RPM installed,
could they? This RPM's presence is vital for any compilation of kernel
modules to succeed - but you probably knew that already ... :)
If you didn't, "urpmi kernel-source" is the magic incantation you want.

BTW, I vastly prefer a "lightweight" WM for the 2nd display, as the added
overhead of running a second X server is quite enough for me without also
piling KDE or Gnome on atop it, IMHO ... :)

modules as well.
Perhaps just copying the mptbase and mptscsih modules from a working
install onto a floppy would give you what you need for your subsequent
installs? Or have you already tried this method?
