recognized until I eject and re-insert it. It used to be recognized on

Compaq 7800 lap top.
Boots, sees the network, can browse the web, ftp, email, etc. However, if I
attempt to FTP into
the machine I can get about 20 files up before all network services on the
machine stop.
It's probably the 3CoM nic.
I've encountered problems with 3COM's nics on my desktop-
dropping packets, errors, collisions, etc.
I tried another NIC (generic cheapo) and haven't had any problems since.
It's unfortunate that 3COM's cards are so expensive.

I have a notebook computer with PCMCIA slots. I have also a viking
modem card. When I had the LM 6.0 installed everything worked fine. I
could dial out with KPPP and have no problem. I installed LM 7.0 on
the same computer. Now KPPP does not see the modem. I tried

Hmm.. looks similar to the output i get when my kernel loads my epat shuttle
driver (externat paralell port --> IDE harddrive kit.) It doesnt make a
device. But it gives me the hd** like yours does. (hdl6, hdl5 etc.. etc..)

CD-rom-drive, but a PCMCIA network-card. So i thought i should use
bootnet.img and pcmcia.img to get started. But no such luck!
