Ed,
I have had my SteppIR running with the SDR-1000 for some time. I plug
the SteppIR cable into COM1 and set the SteppIR box for Kenwood
operation at 9600 baud. I then set the SDR-1000 CAT up for TS-2000 on
COM1 at 9600 baud. I set parity to none, data bits to 8 and stop bits

Hello to all:
I have a SDR 1000 and would like to purchase a Steppir antenna. They sell a
transceiver interface that allows the antenna to tune itself to the
frequency that the radio is on. Does anyone know if the SDR 1000 can
accommodate a cable that goes to the Steppir interface and if so wha

What you are seeing is in order. The new PA calibration routine runs at
100 watts for all bands except for 10 & 12 meters where it should be 75

I'v been thinking (a dangerous proposition at best), we have stero
output from PowerSDR, which does great with with 2 receivers. Since
there is the capability to have more, are we going to get quad audio
output with the 4 X MultiRX when it comes out (in the new console, I
presume)?

The RX null does not REQUIRE a stronger signal than -73.0dBm, but you will
likely get a BETTER null if you do use a stronger signal. Just wanted to
clarify that.

Dave,
I use my Elecraft XG-1 at 50uV to do the RX level calibration (this
corresponds to -73dBm which is S9).
I use either the XG-1 or wwv at 10.0MHz for the RX freq calibration.
As pointed out earlier, the RX null requires a stronger sig than the
50uV supplied by the XG-1 so a second TX is a good

Jim,
Like Tim said, the older Delta 44 drivers work fine on XP MC2005. These are
still available on the m-audio.com website.
I believe remote desktop is available on XP MC, but I can't say for sure as
I don't have access to a PC with that OS on it.

The defaults have changed on quite a few things since the 1.4.5 days. For a
side by side comparison, you really would need to import the database (or
use the tool on our download page to perform a similar operation).

Chas,
The audio sent to MixW is sent directly from the outputs of the SDR-1000.
It will almost certainly confuse the digital mode program to have the Sub RX
turned on while operating digital modes. Instead, you probably would want
to just use a wider filter and let the digital mode program decode
The previous D44 drivers did not have any problems loading on any
variant of XP (or Win2003 either). The new drivers do.
The older drivers work just fine.

Did you mean to say 8 kHz or is something sending the wrong thing to the

I am presuming that the person is not using VAC 4.03 or later. We need
