OK, folks, it seems that my cable router has given up. Don't know what
happened, but yesterday evening, after dinner, when I went to check my mail,
I noticed that I had no connection. I've then checked the cable modem and
then noticed that the router didn't have any LED on, except the power LED.
Wait for the downloadable upgrade and then do it. As long as you have a
fairly standard set up you won't have a problem. And then download Silk!

I had a problem last night that might be related to 10.1.5. The my 500mhz

I don't have a suggestion for your router problems, but I'm having a
weird problem with Cox since I switched over from Roadrunner. Our Cox
system is configured to hand out IPs like candy, and I have a Linksys
WAP which doesn't do NAT. (I bought it before I joined this list)
Anyway, Cox

Looks like my warranty is out for my Linksys.

While looking for routers/gateways, I came upon a deal from Other World

lot less good than an analog to digital FireWire-based converter, like the

Gateways just move packets between networks, Router can redirect
packets to specific places. Most routers also can act as a

Finder became a little bit more responsive in my impression.

I've been using the SMC Barricade for about 10 months. Works like a

Richard,
Whatever you get, make sure it has the fluid
(hydrodynamic) bearings in it. The earlier IBM
Travelstars (like the two I've bought am unhappy

Actually ATT says on their web site that you should leave that field blank. I
did choose Ethernet, and also DHCP. Thanks for the advice but it looks like I
may have to have that tech come out after all.

I just finished installing an IBM 20GB (model 40GN) drive in my Wallstreet
