I do though like a thin ribbon for my effigy stays, Even if I wind up
cutting the ends to get out quickly. That has a little to do with my
small eyelets but also a lot to do with the lacing sitting on the
front where my hooks and eyes in my doublets do up.

a narrower fabric I would have plotted to get more shaping in the back
of the skirt to be able to get my full sleeves or just made a short
sleeved gown only.

(yes, the butt-hair) were based on 15th-century Romanian burial costume.
I'm pretty sure the book of the costumes said they were based on

Why not dye the tab? Paint takes dye, I've had a few mishaps in this regard,
it won't chip off, except when the original piant will chip off.
