but best to check the other horn parts to see where they sit in the chord
and decide which octave is intended by the composer. Then the section
can reach a general consensus and present a united front if challenged.

Practicing is up to you. Light work is good, but if it hurts stop. Your
particular sore placement is bad, so you may just end up needing a
few days off if/when they recur, but get the Lysine and the cream.

I found that slurring the B flat to D worked well for me (got 3 out of 4),
