I use Mandrake 9.0. I tried to configure gnome's pppd dialer, it dials my ISP's no.
and when it tries to connect, it gives the error msg. as 'pppd daemon died
unexpectedly' what is meant by this msg. I have also taken recourse of help provided
by gnome's pppd dialer but of no avail. Can anybody

I need a real player 8.0 or higher version for Mandrake 9.0. I visited the site
http://www.real.com for downloading it. Though it provides real player for various
linux versions but not particularly for Mandrake 9.0. Pl. suggest which version of
linux I should opt for downloading

create a user it says "vipw lockfile (/etc/ptmp) is
