I don't know what control 6 or 7 do, but try them again to see if what
you did can be undone. Something else to try is press control plus
space bar to deselect all items. Then press the applications key and
see if you can change things there.

I never used to have more than 8 or 9 icons on my desk top, but I started
adding some, and now I have 42.
I see absolutely no difference in the speed of my computer between when I
had a few and now 42 on my Desk Top!
It use to be with windows before xp, but xp has made very much memory
improvements.
There are only 2 big factors in slow downs now.
1. To little ram won't run the op and tools needed.
The min is never good and max is always better.
2. The amount of tasks being ran in the background will eat up ra

create a desktop shortcut from a website you visit regularly, how in the
heck do you do it?! In IE11 you can get create desktop shortcut options in
