At the top of page 78 in the May issue of SportAviation is a picture of my
fathers plane a Mustang II. Although the plane is heavier than the KR its gear
configuration is about the same. I have no tail wheel time but was able to
shoot a couple landings. I placed down the first time in a three

I just measured mine. Top is 43 inches wide. When I bent the side I let the
stresses pre form the bottom. With a little tweaking the bottom is 37 1/2". I
kept the firewall stock and feel the look still has a stream line look not the
pregnant guppy look.

place on their own. The ones that want to slide to the floor you can hold in
place with a piece of coat hanger wire bent into a "C". As for attaching your
gussets to the cross members first. As Ron stated it would work

If I understand the part you are referencing is the triangular ply gussets
which goes on the inside of the fuselage and in front of and behind the main
spar. If this is the case then you need to build the fuselage complete with
spruce gussets,ply skin and then you install the spars. After the

accomplish. I have built my entire airframe scarfing the ply by hand. I did
not use the disc on a drill method in the assembly manual. I used 1 x 2 pine

I noticed that the wing templates I downloaded for the AS5048/5 has a tip
template for the 140.75" location which is labeled AS5048/6. Did I get the

The decision to build a KR was long in the making.
Followed Mark Langfords work since he put in on the net.
The KR is proven, strong, fast, and affordable. The KR
does lend itself for mods but lets be smart. I am
building to plans execpt a corvair with the new wings
cockpit vs. all new inst. Although, I do like his micro
enginge inst.
