Now comes the next question. How did you attach yours to the legacy? Did you
use the baseplate mounting system?

Very interesting Tim,
For me, I would forget Black & Decker & Bosch as I have never been a fan and
Sears are not available in UK.
Triton are reliable and not made in Australia, being now owned by a British
company. I have had DeWalt, Freud, Hitachi, Porter Cable probably same 110 volt
version
A triton of coarse

Patrick,Cost "not a factor", huh?Like your school teachers, college profs, and parents most likely prefaced their response - "It depends".There are small, light-weight ones (as small as a Dremel) - all the way up to Very large 3.5 HP units (and larger). Its just like deci
Look at the big RP2301FC 3-1/4 hp Makita with soft start. It's an animal

You ask Mike Pung about Makita routers.
I have every kind from Freud, Sear, Black and Decker Bosch, HItachi, Porter
Cable and then my Makita. think I have about 22 routers and
Sooo, I was looking to get a Triton but now I’m not sure. Maybe we should start
a poll, what would you buy no matter the cost?

Also, Legacy use to make the rounds at east coast woodworking shows so I could
be 1st hand informed about them but they pulled the plug on those shows as

ok, I have now cooled off even to give a civil response to Andy's

I am one of the first few to join this forum (in the first month?). Art
introduced me to it. I was told it was a forum for Legacy owners to share
info. after joining,

Curt,
I didn't mention Art's name before, he has passed beyond all of life's
