ARD alternate VNC server software

My workplace is cracking down on access to port 5900 (VNC), so I can't use Apple Remote Desktop anymore. ARD has to operate on port 5900, and can't be changed to use another port. Has anyone set up a Mac with alternate VNC server software? I tried X2go but I can't get it working. -Carl
