that's not the kind of notes I'm talking about. I'm talking about author
provided notes that may be explanatory, or may simply be detailed
citations to sources. In print these are usually indicated by a
superscript number at the end
i do believe that you can associate notes with the container part of the
application if that makes sense

Yup. Same here. Works lovely in iOS but OS X iBooks is a useless waste of disk
space. Someone said it could be internet issues but that's not the case here
since speed test shows I'm actually getting slightly more throughput than
advertised by the ISP. So I think they've just broken something.
I have just tried using iBooks for the first time as well. I know this may
seem like a sort of basic suggestion, but the first time I opened iBooks, I had
the same problem. I closed and reopened the app, and now the problem has gone
away. You might give that a try.

iPhone. On my mac, iBooks gets constantly busy when I try to read. There are

Ibooks on the Mac is not as useable as it is on iOS. I use the next chapter
item in the menus and then interact with the last html content I find, which is
usually the next chapter. It is useable, but not as convenient as
I cannit even open an ibook. I am in grid view.
