Unfortunately I think tire quality can vary significantly between sizes, as well as manufacturer date, so (insert brand name here) tires with the same model name can perform at opposite ends of the quality spectrum, if they are different sizes, made on different days, made by different plants,

True. That could very well be the case, but without getting the whole assembly out or at least being able to access it, I can't tell. The release cable is buried in the pedal assembly somehow, and even requires a special tool to remove and install it. There are two bolts that hold the whole

Dunno, haven't looked into it that closely. I believe it's tied back to the national Do Not Call registry as well as the vendor's own list of accumulated robocaller numbers. I just know it's far from foolproof despite it being presented as such. I think our VOIP guys tested it for fun earlier

If you can get the chain out of the come-along the best way to clean it of rust is to put it into a small electric cement mixer along with a couple of shovels of sand. Worked for me a couple of times now. Soaking it in oil doesn't really get any rust off. Manfred
