One thing that will ding your FICO score is the length of time you have had
credit. That is, how long you have had open accounts.
I found this out the hard way when I closed some really archaic accounts we

Both Redline and Stanadyne make excellent diesel fuel additives. I was a big
advocate of Reline, which went into every tank load of fuel in my 250k mile
1982 300SD. I pulled the injectors at 230k to have them calibrated and matched
by my local Bosch guy, and he commented at how clean the tips

I'm in central Indiana (Indianapolis), whose heating season is probably
November to March.
One of the considerations is the lousy efficiency of my current furnace, and
that it is not a direct vent furnace, either. My resident HVAC guy says that
because combustion air comes out of the house
Why wouldn't you just plug it in and after about 30 minutes put your hand on
the side of the engine to see if it's warm?
If you have power to the plug then the heater is probably open. A quick test
with an ohmmeter or test light would reveal the condition

If you're talking about the window scrapers like what is on a 123 or 126
chassis, the material is sold in bulk and can be cut with a pair of aircraft
shears (tin snips).

Yeah, when I was looking for my first MB diesel, I was tempted by one of these
that was on the local MB stealership's lot. When I made some inquiries about
it amongst my then MB resources - they made me aware of the rather checkered
history these things had for heads and head gaskets.
