please run CHECK TABLE on the tables, and check if it prints something to
the .err log.
Also, resolve the stack trace printed by the crashing mysqld, as explained
in the manual.

As root, you start the mysql server. The first thing the server does is
switch to running as the mysql user, then it tries to bind the socket. Most
likely, your problem is that the mysql user does not have permission to

After trying to install mysql succesfully on RH7 (yes, it finally
worked), I discovered that the daemon doesn´t start at boot. I tailed
the log and it says this:
