have you setup your X yet, if so just type "startx" --without quotes
if that doesn't work, you will have to setup X using one of the many config

doing a clean install - its a Linksys Network Everywhere NC100 fast ethernet
10/100 PCI card. During install, the card was not be detected. I didn't have

my internal modem works well. but, it's definitely hardware-based. it
doesn't rely on the computer's processer.
