il mancato supporto di un'altra distro, non dirò quale, ed è andato tutto bene. Solo
un problema minore: la stampante, una HPLJIIIP vecchissima ma ancora ottima, stampa
bene ma prima della
Anch'io pensavo una cosa del genere, ma dove posso trovare isdn4linux?

Oggi in modo inaspettato non sono più riuscito a connettermi ad internet con
kppp, allora ho pensato che fosse successo qualcosa al programma ed ho
provato con Gnome ppp, niente, mi viene dato un messaggio di errore (pppd
muore inaspettatamente).

Try http://www.kde.org/info/2.0.html. You can probably ignore the first
solution (downgrade libpng), since Mandrake has made sure all their packages
work with KDE2. After you try the others, do a reboot and you should be fine.

Finally got the graphics card and sound working again. Only thing is the cd
player only plays through the right channel even with MusicMatch but mp3's
play normally through both channels. Is there something I need to do to get
a cd to play in both channels?

Gnome, so its nothing to do with KDE. Its confusing to me because I have
all the system sounds, and I can use realplayer just fine - its just the
CD, it won't kill me, but its annoying...

Thanks Roger, I finally decided I better open the box and try the sound card
connections which is what the problem turned out to be. After disconnecting and
reconnecting them the sound was back in the other channel although they seemed to be
connected well before I disconnected them.

Can someone tell me how to add the CD-RW to fstab, mtab so that it will
connect with gtoaster or other cd burn progs? Hard drake finds it as an
IDE-ATAPI dev/hdb, but gtoaster wants to see a scd0 dev. Should I link as in
