I have made the boot diskette for 7.2. Now I wonder if there is any way to create a 'Rescue' diskette of procedure that will allow me to work on the 'real' Mandrake partitions? Other distributions have this feature. At least SuSe and Red Hat. Perhaps others. Thank you for you help on this or

I have a normal IDE CDROM attached as the master device on IDI channel 1 and an HP 7200 CDRW attached as slave on that channel. Both work under OS/2 and Windows. However, under Mandrake 7.2 the CDRW does not allow me even to read it. I've not tried writing to it yet. There is no Icon for

I have been trying to install Office 2000 for Linux since back in December. I first tried on Red Hat 7 with no success in spite of suggestion from Tech Support of Red Hat and Corel I finally abandoned Red Hat and installed Mandrake 7.2 and lo and behold Office 2000 installed without a hitch.
