How do I disable the automatic login when my Mandrake 8.0 machine is
booted up? Instead of waiting for me to login, it automatically logs in
as the regular user and goes straight to the desktop. Convenient, but

I've run 'sndconfig' on a Compaq Deskpro (no other model info was
found) and the default choice offered was Soundblaster Pro. I chose

On Netscape, under the VIEW menu, the options to "Increase Font" and
"Decrease Font" are grayed out.
How are these activated? Video resolution is set to 1024x768 and thus
some of the fonts are pretty small.

Window ME is build on the 95 kernel, Windows 2000 is built on the NT kernel.
And dos is still there in ME, they've just hidden it better...

(probably more than the one I know about) that can do that for you. WinME is
95 with upgrades to 98 with upgrades to ME. They haven't removed dos at all,
they've just hidden it better.

tuxkart. I have the mesa drivers installed. I did a
customised developer install with almost everything there OK.
Mesa doesn't work properly with nVidia chipset's, use nVidia's own GL.

Installed 7.1 this weekend. The install went much
less smoothly than with 6.5 and 7.0. I have two hard
disks, Mandrake 7.1 was installed on the second hard
drive.
LILO would not install, complained about some error on
/dev/hda2. I then installed grub. It gets to the
stage1 prompt and hangs.

I had that problem as well. I solved it by creating a small bootable dos
partition and then running /dosutils/autoboot/install.bat. This boots into a
menu where one of the items is DrakX from CD-rom.
