By default root cannot login remotely. It is not suggested to do this as
it is a security risk. This can be gotten around if you really need to do
it by editing /etc/securetty file.

I've burnt the Mandrake 7.0 install CD. I'm currently
running a Mandrake 6.0. How can I install Mandrake 7.0
without losing the current 6.0 installation in case the 7.0
installation fails for any reason ? (I do have a free partition,
