Yes, we tried that today as well. No effect.
For now, it looks like the problem is not the binaries themselves. It's
something in OpenOCD. Some kind of regression.

use a combination of OpenOCD and GDB. Both are launched as targets
from the makefile in two separate consoles. I was wondering if it's

Machine crashed and got re-installed. So I don't have the same git
repo anymore (I still have the `.svg` files of course, in a backup).

What would happen if I give another value to the OPENOCD_GIT_URL variable, such
as:
OPENOCD_GIT_URL= [ http://openocd.zylin.com/openocd |
http://openocd.zylin.com/openocd ]
In what way would this impact the build?
