Listmates, I should have stayed with xorg 7.2, but I just had to load 7.3. I'll learn one of these days. The problem. compiz was working in 7.2 with the 8.42 ati driver. Now compiz will not load with fusion-icon anymore and a compiz --replace & gives the black screen on death.
