Every time I have installed Winamp, it wants to default to fading in and out
when a file starts, stops, and pause/restart. I would like to make it start
and stop abruptly. I think it has to do with a plug-in. Can anyone explain
what I should do to achieve this action? Thank you very much.
I'm using the Olympus 520, also with internal mics. I do my best to sit
still when it's in my pocket; and keep my hands off it when it's on the
table.

Someone told me that there is actually a type of sound card in the headset.
I notice that when I plug it in, the computer sees another sound device
that's usb. I just can't get the mic to work.

When you switch the imic to microphone, is the input stereo? That is, can
you plug in a pair of mics or a stereo mic and record in stereo? I find
that my laptop won't record in stereo from its mic jack. quite a nuisence;
i have to revert to a cassette tape deck.
