There is the Raptor Festival held by Heard Natural Science Museum in McKinney, north of Plano, on Sept 15. Lots of great birds that are used to humans so that you can get good and close, and lots of donations. Big event so it's not something that would lend itself to privacy though. Nick --

I have the Vivitar Series I 19-35. I bought it for a trip up north where I wanted a more recta linear wide angle than the F 17 - 28. It's a good lens - fairly sharp and good color rendition. The only problem I experienced was with flair - I had a few shots that could have been titled "Beam m
