I spent the past week in windy Wellington... I went up to see the final
LoTR movie at the Embassy Theatre, and my partner went to accompany me to
the film and do some research at the National Archives.
There was quite a bit of LoTR stuff in Wellington. A few large models
had been hung

the Sony, one of her pulling the paper from the box,
and one when she was much closer to me.
This was the best of the three.

CS doesn't support PEF format. they are rumored to be supporting in an
update. RAW is fixed in size and the converter is also fixed in size. you
can't alter the image dimensions from RAW until it is in an image editing
program.

That piece of plastic (so to the FA* lenses' metal frame) is held by a piece
of high strength double-sided tape. It can peel itself off sometimes,
although rare for non-FA* lenses. If the lens itself is free from any dent,
it should be safe.

I'm considering it as well. Most of my Pentax 35mm lenses are K
versions. I could use the *istD for some of the work I do as well as
for personal photography. I might be able to use it for a lot of the
work I do with "res up" software. On my day job I use photos taken by

It won't always be a $7000 camera. Digital stufff tends to decrease in
price over time. Look at computer prices. Lenses may never get cheaper,
however. Eventually, they are going to almost give the cameras away to get
you locked into their lenses. For example, look at printer prices. A goo

closes down to that which you have set, and the camera sets the

It depends on the film. I certainly would with Velvia, but I´ve never
used it. The films I´ve used most, Provia 100F and Agfa 50 RSX are
neutral and easy to scan with this scanner, which has a very good Dmax.
As it hits on target in most cases I scan in normal 16bit mode first.

I should have said it another way, I guess. The mount has not changed, only
the firmware has changed. I don't see any reason for anyone to claim it's a
crippled mount, either before or after the firmware update. The firmware
update just automates what I used to do myself.

Pentax say they support FAT32 and >2GB memory cards. They even support
"Write Acceleration" technology.
